That sounds like it could start an interesting ark hopefully they will take the oppurtunity to take this a step further

I'm not sure that he thinks Rory should die or that he loves Amy - he did after all commit suicide with Amy in the VW after Rory had died. He also wanted Amy to make the choice between 'her' boys which could be taken two ways a] He loves her and wants her to choose him b) He wants her to realise what's really important to her.

It was an interesting concept though, the self loathing alter ego."I know who you are - no one else in the universe loathes me as much as you do" And I'm liking the fact that Rory is critical of the Doctor's heroic antics (saving the world in the last 40 minutes etc)

I did think it was odd that the Doctor allowed Rory to tag along in the first place. Rather out of character, but on the other hand this is a new incarnation of the Timelord so perhaps that's allowed.

Maybe the Doctor brought Rory along to distract Amy, so he didn't have to deal with another "Rose"?

I thought it was very obvious that the Doctor went and got Rory because of Amy's reaction at the end of Weeping Angel story. In fact he states that "Sorting her" is the top priority and when next we see him he is jumping out of cakes to grab Rory.

It wasn't out of character, it was seeing what Amy needed and getting it for her. In this case, Rory.

I don't think Amy is in love with the doctor, I think she just fancies him and would have a no strings fling with him. I don't see a similarity between Rose and Amy because Rose was in love with the doctor. However I quite believe that the doctor is scared that if Amy kept on trying it on, that eventually he'd crack and give in. "He loves a redhead" apparently! I think the doctor would see it as being weak, to give in to temptation. This is where Rory comes in. He's the buffer

Maybe, because theres no fun to the situation if the Doctor isn't a little scared and uncomfortable. However in the same scene he does say something along the lines of "but you're .... human" as he squirms

I think Amy would eat the doctor alive, bless him! Next series, I'll be intresting to see how it plays out if Rory's not there. Doesn't sound likely that he will be

:yawn: Okay he is sweet loves Amy blah blah but so did Mickey but I perfered Mickey , Rory bless is so wet but in fairness the dr knows deep down he is wrong for Amy so he did a good thing and made her look at him logically , I think Amy likes the dr but perfers Rory for now cause the way she kissed him that wasnt being grateful , so big up for the dr steering amy away from him , okay the dr done that before with less tact , this dr seems to have excellent manners ok sometimes he goes off on one but he is ten times more calmer but saying I found Dt's darkness more sexy , poor Matt might be well mannered but he is not that dark as that dt ax but I am sure Matt will get his dark side with pratice

In THAT bedroom scene, I genuinely was shocked as the Doctor said 'you're getting married in the morning! In the morning'.....I thought, just for a second, the Doctor was going to do the naughty. It just seemed that way for some reason

I really dont see the fuss about Amy kissing the dr , it was 5 seconds , he kissed Martha longer than that (Yes genetic transfer) anyway its probably better if he doesnt kiss anyone , as every time he kisses a lady it goes pear shaped ,or she kisses him !
