Just checked the Doctor Who Live site again and they've now got this up:

Quote:
“On sale 9am Friday 21st May 2010.

Tickets are priced at £38.50, £34.50 and £25.00 subject to booking fees.

Belfast Odyssey Arena only
Tickets are priced at £42.50, £37.50 & £27.50 and may be subject to service charges.

Please note that for Belfast Odyssey Arena, the ticket prices are higher as booking fees and agency commissions are included in the ticket price - this is standard practice for shows in Northern Ireland.”

Also that countdown clock on the page seems wrong... at 14:50 today it's showing 3 Days, 10 Hours and 10 Minutes to go which would put it at 01:00 on Friday (and well spotted sofieelis for my maths cock-up earlier). That can't be right surely.

See, that's what's worrying me, there are conflicting times for the start of sale - I don't want to turn my pc on at 9am to find out they were all sold out just after 12/1 am.

The Ticketmaster web site says that the Cardiff tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, and there are afternoon shows as well as evening ones... Cardiff International Arena doesnt seem to have its own web site, so I assume they do everything through Ticketmaster online, or the box office for phone queries..

Keep an eye on the livenation web site for CIA as I believe they're the official partners and might get a different ticket allocation to going through the Ticketmaster site (even if they are the same bloomin' company these days). If I get time on Thursday I'll try and do a sweep over the usual sites and list any that look like having tickets.

I've just had my 1st newsletter from Sheffield Arena, no mention of being able to buy early, just letting me know that I can buy a VIP HOSPITALITY PACKAGE ticket for £115 Hmm, as there's 5 of us, I don't think I'll be doing that!

Or maybe I should leave Mr Ellis and the 3 kids at home and lap up the luxury on my own

Here's the press release for those who were wondering:

Opening in wartime London and concluding in an epic onstage battle, audiences should expect the unexpected as the The Doctor’s arch-enemies the Daleks are joined by some of the best-loved and most terrifying monsters from the TV series including the Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Judoon and Oods to name but a few.

Doctor Who Live will feature special FX, optical illusions and spectacular pyrotechnics building to an epic finale. Specially edited video clips, drawn from the TV Programme will be shown on a massive screen and accompanied by the music of longtime Doctor Who composer Murray Gold. These iconic scores will be brought to life by a 16 piece orchestra live on stage.

NB: Actors from the TV series will NOT be appearing live on stage.

Some further info here . . . .
Quote:
“Producer Steven Moffat said: "It will be a great day out for thousands of men in their mid-thirties, especially if they can get their mums to pick them up afterwards.

"As well as the big scary bits they've come to expect from the show, there's going to be the added terror of coming face to face with people who don't work in Forbidden Planet. To be honest, I'm just amazed they have jobs and money."

Moffat also confirmed that new assistant Amy Pond, played by Karen Gillan, will not appear in the show because the budget would not cover the the construction of a 200ft wide, perspex anti-ejaculation screen.

He added: "We spoke to Karen about this and she pointed out that while her life plan included playing Doctor Who's assistant and having a successful career as a respected actress, it did not include being gawped at by misfits for two hours and ending up with a face like a plasterer's radio."”

And probably on Ebay within minutes after that... at vastly inflated prices of course

Coincidentally, if any Dalek scout forces are reading this, possibly after downloading the web via a secure facility in Utah, would you mind awfully finding out where said scalping scum are living and popping round for a quick extermination? Nothing fancy, just scare the crap out of 'em and *ZAP*. Ta muchly.

Bloody hell that wasn't fun...

Managed to get my tickets for Wembley but Ticketmaster (well, Live Nation, same company) were offering complete tosh. See tickets to the rescue with second row on the floor over on the right hand side. If it's any help to anyone here's the link:

http://www.seetickets.com/see/event....e=100&filler3=

In all honesty I'd rather have been up on the first tier of seating but considering that the first ticket I was offered (two minutes before 9 according to my clocks as well.. tsk tsk) was about two thirds of the way back down the arena I think this was better.

The Cardiff Ticketing has been a nightmare - through Ticketmaster.

I got in straight away at 9am and got 5 tickets in Block 3 row S offered (October 30th - 15:00). I thought that wasn't great so went for balcony tickets and there weren't any available at all!!!

Then went back for 5 on the floor and took 5 in Block 3 row X (24 rows back I presume).

I thought as ticketmaster was the official agent they would have a free run at the tickets. Even at 9:20 I could get tickets in Block 3 row V - so it looks like Blocks 1 and 2 and the first 18ish rows have been pre-sold somehow.

I'm fuming cause I was hoping to get better tickets - but there's not much you can do about these things.

ticket soup did the SECC no probs at all luckily!
