I'll be honest, I'm surprised how well this is doing in the charts!! As a fourth single off the album, I thought it woulda just scraped Top 20. It's already matched Broken Heels' peak and it has had nowhere near the same promotion as that!
It's a good song, though. Surprised "The Silence" hasn't been released yet though, obviously trying to market her away from ballads to avoid Leona comparisons. |

She's doing VERY well!!! Hallelujah, Bad Boys, Broken Heels and now All Night Long!! All four have perormed really well. This has definietly been the strongest debut album from an X Factor winner.

Alex
She has real star quality so her success isn't too much of a surprise

Forgive Me and Run were both off the US edition. Also, all of Alexandra's songs so far have been slow burners in terms of the chart - Broken Heels may only have peaked at 8 but it was around for a long time.

I am pleased this is doing well as I love this track and also The Silence. I don't think you can claim this is the strongest debut album from an XF winner though, what about Spirit, that had a Moment Like this, Bleeding Love, Better In Time, Forgive Me and Run which were all top 5's.

this is definatly her best song. i wonder why radio1 shunned it? though its still doing well without radio1s support!

Probably because it's got more than support elsewhere, on radio and tv. Therefore It's only fair imo that Radio 1 give other artists a chance who haven't had the same luxuries as Alexandra. All Night Long is already in the top 10 anyway so I don't see the problem.
![]() radio1 do play alot of artists who get played to death everywhere else aswell u know! diana vickers is still on there A-list for heavens sake and they constantly play lady gaga, which led me to wonder why they werent playing alex burke, or xtina for that matter. i dont even listen to radio1 it doesnt affect my life, only the artists. |

All of her singles seem to grow on me. I've never liked any of them from the first listen but eventually they end up on my ipod and this song is no exception. It's been climbing quite steadily in the charts too so will probably do quite well. I like the fact she's avoiding the ballad route and I'm sure her appearance on Jonathan Ross will help shift copies.

Bad Boys and Bleeding Love are incomparable but BB has still done incredibly well in the UK. Broken Heels has sold a bit more than Better in Time. All Night Long is doing better than Forgive Me did (which plummeted out of the charts after the debut). Run was on a re-release and had an X-Factor performance plus Alex hasn't even had a 5th single yet.

Is this the song that goes:
"all night all night all night all night, all night all night all night all night" ? |

Moment Like This was the winners song so was bound to do well (as was Hallelujah).

Bleeding Love VS Bad Boys = Bleeding Love easily wins (however Leona did have more hype) Better In Time VS Broken Heels = Broken Heels wins (but again sales were lower in 2008 than they are now and Spirit had already sold a lot. But BIT should have sold better considering the charity bill. It might sell better in time. Bad joke, I know )Forgive Me VS All Night Long = hard to tell yet but ANL will probably win. (but charts are far more competitive in November than they are in May and sales are again higher now).
