Neil Manson - Chump of the century!
Jmac-25

Did anyone see the Bill last night? Someone give Neil Manson a cigar! He agreed to transfer Don Beech, then took him to see his girlfriend, then took his handcuffs off, then let him nip off to the bedroom for a quick shag where he got a gun, knocked them out and buggered off! Who says standards are slipping in the police?

Seriously though, I think The Bill is the best soap on tv right now. The acting, scripts and storylines are superb. I think both Eastenders and Corrie could do with taking a leaf out of The Bill's book.

I also think Corrie is about to drop a serious bollock with the Fred / Thai bride storyline. Its extremely stupid, and makes Fred look very sad indeed - Not a good move for such a well liked character

I really hope Okaro sees sense and gives Manson the boot over this one - can't stand him, the slimy little toerag... Having said that Okaro is the Worst Police Chief In The World Ever™ - management skills like his could only ever survive in the public sector - and so I'm sure he won't

Manson will get a serious shoeing off Jack but I don't think he will get the boot from Okaro - possibly due to him saving the diamond heist operation from going tits up.

As for him being a chump I think he just got played by Beech and that is what Beech is an expert at. He dangled what Manson wants, a big result (leading ultimately to him climbing further up the ladder) and this led Manson to take his eye off the ball. I can't deny his stupidity at uncuffing Beech though !

As for Okaro - he is seriously better that the unhinged loon that was last in charge of the station ....

Fair point there! They do have an alarmingly high insanity rate at Sun Hill, don't they?

It'll be monkey man Kent next that looses the plot... (soon I hope, the sooner he get Carty-ed off the better)

Don't think he ever had it to lose... would like to see him meet a sticky end though.

Yeah a top quality well thought out end for him would be great...where all his past misdemeanours against others all came back to haunt him !

If any cop shop in Britain had the same amount of bent coppers, disasters and psychos that Sun Hill has had it would have been closed down years ago. They should have had a special Sun Hill wing in prison where, if they hadnt killed some off, they could keep Des Taviner, Don Beech, Cathy Bradford, Tom Chandler, Peter Cavanaugh, Eddie Santini and soon Gabriel Kent, amongst others.
I do like the storyline about Kent turning vigilante cop though - Think its a really good idea.

Yeah but if they were all plodding along telling old ladies directions and generally doing nothing then you wouldn't watch - it does need to be a bit of sensationalisation to get you to turn on - and its not like all the bent copper storylines have been the same....

I think he made a serious error of judgement last night crossing Gina and her lover Jonathan. I have a gut feeling that he will be instrumental in the end of Urko.

As for Manson/Shearer I like him a lot. I think he is just right for the part. Love to see spam Nixon gettin the smile wiped of her face

Jonathon Fox is only in for 12 episodes and as it is being touted around Urko is in until March (at least) it looks unlikely unfortunately !

Just seems too much of a coincidence that he hates K*nt. and has had two or three runs in with him

I know ... I wish the Fox did catch Kent out and bring him down but look unlikely !

I did feel embarrassed for Neil last night, although I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of him tied up with that pink scarf around his mouth.
Come on Neil, you're slacking!
And to think he was doing so well. I put it down to the bad influence of his work colleagues. Working with people like Debbie McAllister day in day out is bound to have a detrimental effect.

But he made a mistake and i'm sure he'll learn from it. He won't be that stupid in the future, or trust someone so easily again. Either that or he'll start sleeping with an undercover journalist...
Or will Okaro be the stupid one who does that? It's probably his turn afterall.

There must be some sort of rule at Sunhill about not behaving in a sensible way. I kind of wish I worked there. Atleast it'd be fun... and I could kill GK!

It's in the job application - "The successful applicant will have GCSE Maths & English, and be utterly devoid of common sense"

Oh and also take on his brothers name ... that is a must have

I sort of felt for Neil too he look so upset when Hunter came in and untied him !

Why do ITV repeat its two main soaps on ITV and ITV2 but it doent repeat The Bill
If its because they class it as drama rather than soap well they repeat all there other stuff like Bad Girls and Footballers Wives - and its bad enough just once - - Lets get The Bill on a repeat at the weekends or even late night on a week night - theres not normally a problem putting repeats on the telly why not put a good one on!

They also don't seem to release it on sale either...

Oh aye, I totally agree, it wouldnt be half as good as it is without these storylines, I just find it quite amusing how Sun Hill is easily the most eventful nick in the country. Race riots, explosions, coppers being murdered by petrol bombs, being taken hostage by 3 rogue coppers in the last 4 months - Its damn good drama, but not exactly reality. But hey, if you want reality, watch the news I say.

I also think that, after Gabriel, Phil Hunter will be the next 'rogue' to become seriously bent
Hutchie

Phil has already crossed the line and been a bit bent with Weaver ! And as I understand that is coming back around again !

Thing is as well - Sun Hill is the place where whatever has happened round the country to the Police, if it is dramatic or interesting it has to happen in Sun Hill ... its like Ramsay Street is easily the most eventfull street in Australia !
