It used be a perfectly acceptable style of facial hair, but ever since Hitler it has been more or less unknown. Will it ever escape the shame and become a common sight on men's upper lips once more?

Until Hitler is only remembered by historians, which in the age of film and wide access to knowledge is going to take a long, long time, i would think that the toothbrush moustache will remain taboo.

Hitler ruined the toothbrush moustache's comedy value.

It's probably the worst thing he ever did.

Isn't there a comedian who is doing a show on this subject - he is pretty funny, I think his name is Richard Herring but I am not completely sure.

Yes that's right - I think he was on HIGNFY a few weeks ago.

No offense to Hitler but it looks like a caterpillar escaped off the grass and ensconced itself on the upper lip...may it come back into fashion after I die!

Quite. Even though I'm an atheist, I'm giving myself dispensation to hope that there is a hell for him and his extremely unattractive moustache to rot in.

What is a toothpaste moustache? I've never heard of it

My Son asked me about Hitler the other day, I told him he was an evil little arse of a man - my son went in and told the teacher what I said

Toothbrush moustache, Weeschmoo!! You know the bristly kinda ones that look totally fake, like they're stuck on there for a gag!

p.s. bet you the teacher had a giggle later even if she kept a straight face on, when he said it!

Charlie Chaplin made it cool, then Hitler came in and ruined it!

What a turd I am, although I have never heard of that either but I suppose it makes more sense than toothpaste moustache - my kids put toothpaste on their face like a moustache and beard I must be thinking of that.

Acceptable I don't see why not but it's an unflattering style for a moustache wearer and I think you'd have to be an oddball to wear one like that.

Yeah and you could have stripey ones, or green ones, pale blue or white ones.

Toothpaste is good for spots you know, but I think it burns the skin and did you know dogs get all funny about toothpaste for some reason.
