I thought they were doing a re-release of Wordshaker before a third album? Or was that scrapped?

Apparently they're up against The Wanted or something that week.

I just hope this is a GREAT song. 'If This Is Love' and 'Forever Is Over' were poor choices for lead single.

I'm going to one of their gigs on the 24th June, anyone know if there's any chance they'll sing it then?

This needs to be their breakthrough song - their first huge, big-selling single, as well as being their first 'signature' song.

That's what they've been lacking thus far. They've had some decent songs but nothing amazing, nothing that stands out.

A new album already? If they spent a bit more time working on the albums and organising proper promotions they might be more successful.

Rushing out a new album every year will not do them any favours. I have enjoyed both of their albums so far, but they really need to focus more effort on releasing better singles and trying to find songs which will be automatically recognisable to everyone as a single by The Saturdays.

I'm still praying this is for a re-release and not a completely new album.

I agree. I kinda hope they do something similar to what Lady Gaga did with The Fame Monster; have the new songs on a separate CD from the original songs.

I'm with you on this one. I'm still looking forward to hearing how their new song sounds, however.

'I Just Can't Get Enough' should have ended them forever IMO. Unforgivably dire!

They're not that bad! OK maybe Just Can't Get Enough was a bit cheesy but it was fun! Up, Work and Ego are my favourite songs of theirs.

I feel as though there has been something missing as we have not had a 3rd single from Wordshaker. I would have preferred the Saturdays to release another single from Wordshaker then release some new material next year. We may yet be surprised though, and their new material could stand out, although I reckon Issues will remain my fave single of theirs.

That would have been good as there's some really good songs on WS that would have made singles. Maybe the management thought that another single from WS wouldn't be popular? Hard to say tbh.

I think the problem with Wordshaker was that it was released too soon after Chasing Lights. It is a good album but I understand why they've given up with it. I fear that this 3rd album will also be too soon though. I really hoped we'd get another Wordshaker single.

I am sort of looking forward to a new single from them but I'm also worried I'll be disappointed by it.

wordshaker though hasnt got a 'signature' single on it... they need new, better material that will appeal to people outside their fanbase. so far they have failed to create a signature track and to appeal to people outside their target audience. and imho they havnt lived up to their full potential.

Yep. Their first album was great, it had solid singles and got them noticed, which was all that was needed at that time. The second album's lead single should of been the signature song, but it ended up being arguably their weakest single, and that's what caused the second album to sell so little. Missing You had better be amazing, or they won't last much longer.

The release date is now August 9th, so the first play should be within 2 weeks at the most, I would think.
