She's a strange one because I think she says a lot of things for effect but I guess it goes hand in hand with this highly sexed up image she's had for a few years. Gossip/entertainment blogger Sandrarose.com has spent the last few years gleefully trying to out Rihanna and her best mate, Mel for being in long term relationship. Interestingly, when she started getting general Rihanna news confirmed from what she calls an insider from Rihanna's camp or a source, she then pretty much stopped referring to them both as lovers and only BFF's. Also, some girl called Tajah Burton did a number of interviews earlier this year about sleeping with 'a world famous female singer from Barbados' (I can't think of any). She promised to spill all in a book. Funnily, enough the book never surfaced.

It's amusing to a point, but there are plenty of people who take the whole thing far too seriously lol.

I do agree that you can be gay/bi and not act on your feelings.
Also many stay in the closet because they are afraid of ruining their careers also some people come from very religious families or just don't want their parents to know.

In regards to the % of gay / bi people, I reckon it is much higher than people think. I reckon it could be as high as 50!

The general figure given is around 5-8%, which is perhaps slightly low. I can't see it being much higher than 10-12%.

Think about those people who are out...then think about the gay guys and bi guys who aren't...but either play away or choose not to act on their feelings.

I think it was Kinsey in the Fifties who first claimed that 10% of the population was gay, but I suspect that figure is too high : several large random surveys have been done in different countries in recent years and the amount of people describing themselves as homosexual has often been 5% or less.

The problem with those surveys is that they assume everyone answers honestly, which I personally doubt is the case. I'm bi, and would say so in a survey, but I know at least 3 of my bisexual friends wouldn't.

This is the crux of the matter though. How many people answer honestly?


I was in little doubt after his BGT audition. There are elements of Will Young about his mannerisms and expressions, and his visual performances always remind me of those I've seen of Adam Lambert at a similar age. However, as you say, he's a child and therefore not only probably inappropriate to discuss but also hugely unrealistic to expect him to come out just yet if he is gay.

I've known loads of people over the years who have or would definitely want to sleep with members of the same sex, but, if questioned by anyone about their sexuality, would say that they're straight.
