Sam Nixon from Sam & Mark, has been known to kiss other men on TV - all in the name of entertainment though...

A side question. Reading the Lesbian Closet thread, I'm reminded of Anne Heche and Jackie Clune who both decided to return to the heterosexual world. But I can't think of any gay males who have done the same. Help anyone?

Probably because it would be pointless, as people would know what their sexuality was from then on.

According to Wikipedia he's with Julianne Hough. He could have edited it himself though.

Surely you mean Prince Edward, there have been many rumours over the years, and I am sure that his marriage is one of convenience.

Can't agree with your comment, If a Bi sexual male finds that they are more gay than straight when younger but more straight than gay when older their sexuality has shifted.

I am thinking of the director of Billy Elliot who was living with a bloke but now has a child with and is married to a woman.

paul shcoles always gave off that vibe shaun wright phillips?

Again i'm just speculating jason orange of take that.
Never married no kids always seemed a bit camp.
Always seems to be one gay member in boy bands.
Stephen in boyzone mark in westlife lance bass in n-sync.
No Jason Orange is not gay, His brother is, but he is not,
I am not sure any of Take That are gay.

They said gay though, and not bisexual.

Robbie is rumoured to be bi (although he plays around with it to mess with the media to some extent I think)

Tubby????? I hate to think what your definition of body size is!!

But if you're right about him being gay HOORAH, as he's by far the most attractive one.

Gender and sexuality stereotypes. Once a man noshes a man; he's generally seen as gay from then on. However, a woman can have a lesbian fling and "go back to men" in the stupid bigoted eyes of the public.

Surely sexuality is on a continuum, with some people very assuredly straight or gay, with a whole bunch of others on a sliding scale in-between?
It shouldn't matter.
Anyhoo- I've heard the Betty Boothroyd/ Patricia Routledge rumours before- as well as some of the others on here. Don't think Jodie Foster's had a mention, yet, but I'm aware she's 'out' now.
Shame it's still something that has to be kept 'secret' in this 'enlightened' age but I would also respect anyone in the public eye's right to keep their sexuality private if they so wish.
I mean, John Barrowman's been the epitome of such discretion for years!!!!

Its the straight acting gay guys that challenge peoples ability to guess and also challenges their prejudices/stereotypes.

As a gay guy id say about 50% of gay guys are straight acting.A truly good sense of gaydar can get past this but not many people have high quality gaydar-tends to be gay guys or gifted women.

I was surprised when a macho welsh football player came out but i hadnt seen him on tv before o maybe I could have guessed if I had off seen him.

George Melly, the late jazz singer, was gay up until his 30s and then was married to the same woman for over 40 years. He always stayed camp and flamboyant but I guess his true soulmate just turned out to be a woman.

Tom Robinson (singer, big in the 70s and 80s) was openly gay and campaigned on gay issues - one of his biggest hits was Glad to be Gay. He's now married to a woman.

jason orange definetly I heard rumours he's bi and has had girlfriends & boyfriends he seems quite camp.
As for queen latifah pretty much an open secret very sad she can't come out i'm a really big fan of hers.
There has never been a high profile a list actress come out.
She would also help many in the black community by doing so
it will never happen though same as cliff.
Did anyone else think when he appeared of piers morgan the bit at the end was a coming out admission without coming out.
Also what about helen terry backing singer for culture club.
She always looked quite butch also what about limahl is he gay/straight? declan donally have always wondered about.
Can't put my finger on it I know he had a long term girlfriend claire but something about him.
Also what about michael jackson? was he bi why else would you not have sex with a woman to have a child.
Limahl is as gay as August bank holiday and is happily out. He got his big break meeting Paul Gambaccini in "Heaven".

Perhaps these people who switch attractions are really bisexual?

Maybe, but maybe some people think they are gay but they're not.
There was a woman on Oprah who hung out with a lesbian crowd during high school and turned lesbian, then 10-20 years later she met a man who she fell in love with and married.
She said she's not attracted to women anymore and that she could never be with a woman again.

Makes me think how many people think they are gay when they're not (probably not a high number but still )
