Fridge logic - gotta love it.”
I'd like to add another one to that which occured to me the other day....why wasn't the atraxi message on the stailite/web link that the experts were usuing to contact each other....when even MP3 were playing the message?

Or,

I don't agree with this. Rose behaved the way she did because she was a jealous type of character....which became apparent as early as Boom Town, and in Parting of the Ways, where she was making eyes at the fact that the Doctor was giving Lynda a bit too much attention. While Amy can be selfish.....there is no evidence so far that she could be very jealous....she may feel jealous, but she seems to proud to show it. For example I'd say there were tiny hints to her jealousy twords River, but overall she was mesmerised by the mystery of who and what she was for the Doctor, that any jealousy didn't take precendent. So I can imagine her behaving pretty much the same if any of his past companions turned up as she did with River. She is quite relectunt to share feelinsg that would make her weak...and jealousy would be one of those that she is likely to keep well under wrap. The way Rose got jealous was because that is who Rose is....just like Donna didn't get jealous of Martha who the Doctor told her about, but did seem to mark her territory and was protective of the Doctor when she came face to face with River. All three are different, and would react differently....Rose would still get jealous if she knew Amy was travelling with him.

Yes, Donna could be rude as well, BUT, and this is a big but, Donna wasn't rude all the time and she realised how hard decisions were for him at times.
I too often get the impression that Amy actually dislikes the Doctor and thinks she's a cut above him and it's getting tedious for me now. I find it incredible that a TIMELORD would continue to allow her to keep on putting him down, she even called him "pointless"!
And in some ways the Doc being described as such has some merit in this series as Amy seems to be perfectly able to save the day without his input.
It's just my personal preference, but I like the Doctor to be the star of the show, not his starey-eyed companion.
Wish he and Rory would ditch Amy on an inhospitable planet somewhere so she could moan and gripe to her little heart's delight and let them have fun somewhere a long way from her smug attitude. She ruins this series for me - many apologies to her fans, it's just my opinion afterall.”
Really?
If any companion has ever disliked the Doctor...and at one time thought she was cut above him....well that was Donna in the Runaway Bride....Amy was annoyed with him in TEH, and when Rory died....but overall she has done nothing to show that she dislikes him. She may try to show that she is equal to him, but then so did Donna, Rose and Martha...and hey even Mickey did...
You may not like the rapport between them....but there is no evidence to suggest that she dislikes him. And to tell you the truth, half of the things that are being said about Amy, like that she is staring a lot, or dislikes the Doctor or whatever....is no difference to those who kept saying that all Donna did was shout. I think its a case of looking at one aspect of the character that bugs you so much that you just can't seem to get past it.

That was just Amy teasing her friend....pretty much in the same way Donna did when making fun of the idea that River called him "pretty boy"

I thought that was well handled, her remark at the end of VoV was far mor annoying (got my spaceship and my boys).”
Exactly...even Donna got reasonably angry at him when he couldn't save the people of Pompeii, and Rose in Dalek, and Martha in Sound of Drums. And Jack in Utopia

On the other hand, this speculation could be the biggest load of cobblers ever posted on this forum.”
I hope not

Thank God!!!

And I don't buy into a young human continually relegating the Doctor to 2nd place after her.
This is supposed to be DR Who, not the Amy Pond adventures with the Doctor as the companion's sidekick.
Her put downs need to be tempered by a bit more kindness towards him. Even a few more smiles would do to balance out the hard stares lol.”
People have said that series 1 and two felt like the Rose show....and some say series 3 and 4 feel like the David Tennant show.....so there is always someone who says that it doesn't feel like Doctor Who. For me its still Doctor Who.

She really bugs me. I liked the young Amy she had a more endearing quality about her and I connected with her.
I also understood the older Amy's initial anger and disappointment with the Doctor after he had appeared to have abandoned her.
But how long is she going to stay like this, it's tedious. She is being given the chance to see stuff that most humans could only dream about afterall, so why still so frosty?”
But she stopeed being angry at him the moment he asked her to trust him when he gave her the apple back....since then she has only been proper angry at him once and that was in Amy's Choice...even when he had a go at her in the Beast Below....she still didn't have a huge go at him....I would have done. Donna got angry at the Doctor in the Runaway Bride alone more than Amy has done in half a series.

Now the banter with Donna was great and didn't leave me feeling sorry for the Doctor. They had chemistry and real friendship. Their relationship really serves to highlight the lack of it between Doc 11 and Amy, particularly after rewatching some of their episodes.”
She only did that in three stories......Rose also saved the Doctor many times, and Donna, and Martha....
