The Monk Seal Appreciation Thread
There might already be a thread appreciating the genius of monk seal but I couldn't find one.Anybody have a favourite theme from his blogs? The love he still has for Camille never fails to make me laugh.

Yes Monk Seal definitely deserves his own Appreciation Thread, me and my Mam have been in stitches at all of his blogs. Reading them has really become quite a highlight of my week, as sad that sounds
![]() My favourite themes are probably: CONFIDENT MONSTER (I do love Lauren and the things she comes out with!) Diet Barrowman and his Pen - plus some of his screencaps which just crack me up...his serious brooding look with the caption 'That's right boys' ![]() Anything about Sophie's VTs and the village of Wales - particularly their gathering in one room 'I think that's Swansea on the left'

monkseal is pretty insightful ...... pointing out that Sophie had to get used to indoor plumbing really explains her slow start in the competition. But now she's up to speed with that I see her flushing Danielle away in the final.

Monkseal is an absolute treasure! Love his blogs. I also love the way he uses that 'WTF?' image of Stephanie to illustrate his points, oh, and the Camille-love.
Mostly, I like the way he takes the p*** out of the show in a very reverent way (if that's not oxymoronic). |

Much love for Mr. Monkseal!
I love this bit, when he's describing Emilie's performance of 'The boy does nothing' There’s a really, really unpleasant bit where she just starts punching at her own vagina and gurning and I CAN’T SAY ANY MORE, JUST VOTE IT OFF PLEASE! Of course the she stayed another two weeks!

Monkseal's critique is sheer genius. ALW should have been thinking seriously about replacing the entire judging panel with Monkseal. Now that would be entertainment!

Monkseal is made of awesome! I often feel slightly embarrassed reading his blog because I laugh so hard it gets the attention of anyone in the room with me! I often find myself laughing until I can hardly breathe.

Can't believe there wasn't a thread like this already!
Although I do find you need to read his blog when alone otherwise you'd get sectioned from people thinking "what is that crazy b**** laughing at so hard?!" Through necessity, it's become some sort of challenge/sport - 'Reading Monk Seal Silently". I'm not great at it... |

My latest favorite Monkseal quote, from this week's performance show blog (about Sophie's solo):
"She’s singing the aforementioned song from “Mulan”, and there was a rumour going around during the week that this was going to be Disney Week, and I kind of wished that had been true. Danielle could have done “Be Prepared” surrounded by goose-stepping hyenas, it would have been amazing. Lauren could have done “Beauty And The CONFIDENT MONSTER”, and Steph could have done “Bibbity Boppity Boo” and we could have all sat around for the next hour whilst Sheila dissected the lyrics." ![]() ![]() ![]() http://monkseal.wordpress.com/2010/0...t-1-4-perform/ |

Thanks for the reminder. I searched all weekend for week 8, then forgot. The recaps are the highlight of a fairly dull series!

I sit here laughing out loud at Monkseal - my OH must think I;ve finally cracked.
I also love the way Lauren always gets (CONFIDENT MONSTER) after her name and 'DIet Barrowman' and his pen. But really too much to quote - you have to be there. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I love Monkseal I like the way he's supporting Sophie because she's the only surviving member of the lesbian bath time 3 way and then she took part in a bath time 2 way with Steph!!

Very very funny. Makes me laugh out loud. I especially love the references to Wales as a village!
And the Pren-JER mentions!
