We will probably be in a bit less though, I do need to have a bit more or a life lol. my family and friends have been a bit concerned at how preoccupied I have been, and not going out so much etc...

Just been cruising round twitter seeing what all the leading ladies from the show thought about the winner and came across Arlene Phillips in which she said

Do think she is working on the WOO choreography then??

It’s really strange, I had never heard of the girl 10 weeks ago, don’t know her, the only connection we have is we live in the same town. But over these weeks I have watched her and have grown very fond of a stranger.

Yesterday we all were so happy she had won, only Connie Fisher has made me feel like that before. I cannot explain why I feel so drawn to this girls success, like I said I don’t know her.

I find it hard to understand why I’m so happy, but I am?

Perhaps we could organise an official 'Mambo Mafia' outing and work it around dates that would suit Snoop. I also think we should make it a special day. Maybe do a Sunday matinee block booking in the stalls or royal circle and possibly hire one of the Palladium function rooms if that's not too astronomical so we can have a proper group outing.
We could have Tracy 'Mambo Mamma' trog as guest of honour and who knows, Dan may be able to pop around and see us after the performance.

Just a few thought and If you think the above is feasible, I'll gladly look into it.

Loved when she hugs herself after graham says 'she's a west end star' and she's like "No i'm not" looks off at other dorothy's and family in disbelief.

Thought second mambo was fab! even though it sounded completly different, she managed the breathing better and finished every line this time awesome!

Can't wait for royal variety, there's normally a performance of a song on children in need aswell, thats around november i think. (far too long to wait still).

last week in 'popular' (AMAZING) love the little growl she does at lauren when she slides off the desk and lauren's singing "you've got an awfully long way to gooo" Just incase anybody didn't notice it, i had my tv very loud at the time.

Watched both shows having breakfast this morning. Much more enjoyable without the stress. Must say I was worried last night what with 76 Trombones and the order, and the fact that voting was allowed from the start. I think Danielle had more public support than we ever imagined. And of course she perfomed like the star she is

I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking that DHFan should have first right of refusal for running it, but as I've got experience with fan forums, I am willing to help in anyway that is needed.

Hey guys just rang the box office:

Opening night has apparently been brought forward. (But I dont know if who I talked to was 100% clued in although she did put me on hold to ask someone else)
I wasnt given any solid information as to when because apparently the producers dont know anything yet. All she said they cant guarantee Danielle will be at every performance anyway and maybe tickets can be swapped for another date.

So now I dont know what to think. It would be so disappointing to come over and not see Danielle, better plan an extended trip just incase I miss her first time around.

Still happy she won.

It's a year until the show opens, so maybe we should wait until the schedule is more solid before booking tickets. We still don't know if Danielle will do all eight shows, or if she'll have an alternate like Connie and Jodie. If she does six shows per week, I would definitely want to know the schedule so I can guarantee to get tickets for a night that Danielle is performing.

BTW, someone asked a few pages ago what the Palladium is like. I saw The Sound of Music there on Connie's last night in February 2008, and it's a big, beautiful theatre. The stage is huge, as well, and it just has a grand, plush atmosphere. I was seated in the fourth row of stalls, which was awesome, but I don't know how good the view is from further back. It would be fun seeing this show in a theatre I've been in before.

All this booking tickets talk I get so confused. I've only been to a couple of shows and never organised it myself.

How are you suppose to know if Danielle is going to be Dorothy on the night rather than an understudy?

Most people who comment on the DM website are miserable and bitter so I wouldn't worry about that. Look at the poll - 73% say Danielle is Dorothy!

Bet this is because they thought they'd need more training time, but with Danielle winning, she'll be ready by Feb

I phoned the Palladium Theatre to check what's going on. Still not very clear but the lady I spoke to said Danielle was going to be in the performances from 7th Feb but wasn't guaranteed to be in Tues performances and a a couple of others in Feb plus the weeks she has breaks. I'm still not really sure what the difference is between the performances in Feb and March. Anyone know why the opening night has been posted as 29th March if she's starring in the show in Feb?

They're probably the previews, there's normally about a month of previews for a show and then the official opening night. To be honest, I don't know how a preview differs from the rest of the shows?

I like this idea a lot - would be great for all the mafia to get together to see her and critique her performance afterwards
