I am currently on O2 PAYG and I am interested in buying a Blackberry Curve, I was told that to use it on O2 I could buy a Blackberry on PAYG then put in an O2 sim card on Simplicity 12 month contract with the Blackberry add on amounting to £17.50 a month (as I would choose the tariff with 300 minutes and £7.50 for the BB add on)

I haven't been on contract before so I am a bit cautious about it, I was told that Orange is a better network to go on for PAYG Blackberry, is this correct?

Any replies appreciated.

Virgin have a deal on this at the moment too, details on their website. Im thinking of getting one myself. Anyone know if their good. Whats the difference in Blackberry mail and web with 'normal'? Is there some pages you just wont get? And are they really a step down from the iphone?

Might be better value to get this phone on a contract, for example on a 24 month deal
Free 8520 + 100 mins + unlimited text + Blackberry service = £20/month with 14 months free line rental so all in you're paying £200 for the phone + 2 years usage.

If you're likely to top up more than £40 in 2 years the contract will save you quite a bit and of course there's no upfront cost.
