I'd take anything written in the Daily Heil with a very large pinch of salt, they are quite clearly on a different agenda

I'm all for improving Strictly.

We are getting very limited info about what they actually are aiming to do, but the circumstantial evidence is starting to mount up that they are maybe going away from Strictly Come Dancing to Loosely Come Dancing.

By that I mean, the show started off with it's feet firmly based on Ballroom and Latin, with Len as the chief judge. The advantage with that is, the dancers are couple based and Len knows what they are supposed to be doing.
So you have a way of judging the dancing and at least one judge who knows how to judge it.

If we go away from that to other dances, just for the sake of variety or whatever, the show will lose focus and you get a mix which is veering toward SYTYCD. I watched some SYTYCD, but there seemed to be too many variables and it didn't interest me as much as Strictly.

I dont mind variations on the ballroom/latin theme for showdances.
The Lindy hop for example, is a dance I dont think will be suitable for the celeb competition, but it has links to Latin and could make a good showdance.
