Putting a 37" up on the wall using arm bracket
Bought a bracket from a reputable ebay powerseller , £40 , takes from 32" to 60" , the quesion i have is , is there an `ideal` height that the TV is supposed to be at , or a guide somehwere on the subject , so i get it right , first time!
Cheers |

I would say at center of screen at eye level when sat in normal viewing position, anything else is going to cause neck ache

Centre of screen at or within 6-12in of eye level seems to be the advice on most of the web sites thrown up by a quick google. Basically you don't want to be bending your neck to a silly angle to see the screen and risk causing discomfort or even worse actual damage to your body!
One other tip I found was to make a cardboard cut out the same size as the screen and stick it to the wall in a few places to get an idea of the best position before you start drilling holes. |

Cheers both , its going to be coming out on an arm though so may be harder to judge i guess , specially as it has 15 degree `tilt` as well...

Yes, you want the centre of the screen at roughly eye level when you're viewing, if you have to look up it gives you a stiff neck.
However, most wall mounts are probably higher than that, but keep it as close as you can. |

![]() In which case mount it as low as you can, whilst out of reach - but be prepared for a stiff neck if it's too high. |
