Alternative to an Elizabethan collar.

Can anyone tell me the name of the collars that look like a neck float that are an alternative to the Elizabethan collars. Tilly is being spayed in June and she won't be able to get through the dog flap in one of the lampshade types.
Thanks in advance.

Squeaky our black girl had a lampshade when she was done a few years ago and going out was the last thing on her mind when wearing that thing, she couldn't even walk in a straight line with it on - and would walk along inside dragging the thing along the walls for guidance - it was amusing when she got to plug sockets, she couldn't get any further without help!

If she's wearing a collar of either type she shouldnt really be going outdoors unsupervised. As another poster said, her balance and vision will be severely affected and she could get into a lot of bother.

I got one of them comfy collars for my cat when she was spayed but it didn't stop her from reaching her stitches so had to go back to the plastic cone. Cat's are very flexible & the collar just didn't work. It may be cos she's a Maine Coon and has a long body?
