Looking forward to Flo.

Florence's set is being played on Radio 1, I think it's live (obviously in one sense but I mean it's playing as it happens). She's doing excellently. Saw her live at Hammersmith and it was fantastic, so I expected no less of her.

Please can Radio 1 find somebody other than Dizzee Rascal to fill one of the two "warm up for the headliners" slots next year... IIRC he's played it in the last three years, and it's getting rather tedious

EDIT: Fortunatley BBC Three cut his set to just one track

Flo on BBC3 on now. yay

Is it me or are there a few real miserable looking people in the crowd? For a free concert, they could at least try to enjoy themselves.

EDIT: No shout-outs to Scouting for Girls and Justin Bieber from Florence. I wonder why.

All crap apart from Faithless - Lots of happiness in that tent. And if the pogo is again the dance de jour at least they know how to do it with energy unlike Flo in her nightie. Dizzee Rascal and Cheryl Cole are an embarressment.

I'm not really a fan of Dizzee Rascal - especially his newer stuff, but his gigs do look great. I would go to one of his gigs. Maybe not pay, but go with a friend.

Well I`am not going to pass any comment on the line up....Far tooooo old for that....all I have to say is that the festival site is located in one of the most beautiful area`s of the UK....sadly the TV coverage just does`t do justice to the stunning scenery of Snowdonia, which provides a breath taking backdrop to the site.

On the TV coverage they cut out the part on 'You've Got the Love' when Dizzee Rascal came on and fluffed his lines and had to start over. Heard it on the radio, which was quite funny.

Justin Bieber wouldn't allow any of his set to be broadcast online, they had to ask him and he said no! He wouldn't even let them use a 30 second clip

Why the hell is Dizzee Rascal dressed as a basketball player?

Watching the coverage of MGMT on the red button. I can report that Andrew VanWyngarden has had a haircut and he looks f**king hot. Man alive, I wouldn't think twice about jumping that thing. He's absolutely adorable. ANd his eyes! Wow, his eyes.... I've always said it and I mean it: there is nothing hotter than a guy who has good hair and can play guitar.

Anyway I'm getting carried away. They seem pretty good live. Which is handy because I am seeing them later this year

Thank God....he`s shit......having said that...what a little tosser......Obviously know one's reminded him of the old adage.....Don`t behave like a w&n*k%r or treat others with disdain when your on the way up because you`ll be treated with due contempt when your on the way back down.

I know this is childish of me, but I laughed so hard at that

How do they figure out the ordering of the line up, pick names out of a hat? Florence headlining?

MGMT & Tinie Tempah were definitely the best ones today, and they were on the INMWT stage!

Florence, Lostprophets & Dizzee were good too. And what I saw of Alicia.

Cheryl surprised me a bit. And Ellie was good. I don't think anyone was actually too bad. Apart from Justin Bieber. Saw none of his performance but you can tell it was shit. Scouting For Girls were probably not very good too.

I don't have anything against Justin or SFG. Justin seems like quite a sweet kid. And both artists' music is catchy. but, they just aren't good musicians. They are both doing the Summertime Ball though, WITH Usher.....

Anyway, if there is one thing I have learnt from Radio 1's Big Weekend, it's that I am a Tinie Tempah convert! He is absolutely terrific live, so interactive with the audience and just really, really good

I like Cheryl but she did not sound so good with her songs. However, I think it might be the bad broadcasting. Giving her some credit.

Joe McElderry really did an amazing acoustic version of Telephone as well as Don't Stop Believing. Loving his fantastic version of these songs.

He sang the full version of the songs:

Telephone (acoustic) - starts at 2:40: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBwDLPm2g2g

They took them off freeview so we could sing-a-long with 'Over The Rainbow' instead but I did see most of their set online and it looked bloody mega! Off to see them on tour this week, really excited about that now!!!

The order of acts really made no sense - Florence headlining, WHY!? Faithless & Alicia Keys were far more worthy from yesterday's acts surely.

Oh and what was Joe McElderry doing there, he wasn't on the line-up?

Anyone else watching Paramore's set on the website?

I'm going to be honest, I'm not that impressed! I don't think their setlist has been that great so far.. especially the opening song. I always considered that an album filler.

Bit disapointed, because they are usually good live.

No, I know, I took it back. i thought Rain On Me and Fireflies were pretty good.

FFTL, 3 Words and Parachute were death though.

Watching Delphic now. They are bloody good.

Acts/Management can choose how much or how little is shown on TV

Similar to this was last year when Neil Young headlined at Glastonbury, they only showed 3-4 songs from his set due to their request.

OK, the big weekend is OK, an excellent event, but it is not an excuse of axing or skipping the Top 40 show.
