BT - What a SHAMBLES - Will move to SKY
I have been a constant subscriber of BT services for many many years now. Even kept BT when moved around. 20 years plus of service they provided. I even take their BT Vision just for the sake of it.
Now on Monday night at 11.30pm my internet would not connect. Checked the phoneline and it had a dial tome but I could not make or receive calls. Not even BT's 150. Rung BT from my mobile and some guy in India said no one is available - call in morning. Did just that - was on phone for 1 hour on Tuesday. And in the end was told my services had been disconnected due to an error and that I would get them back by Thursday - within 48 hours. Rung them today - in afternoon - Thursday - on phone for 2 hours - this time got a UK woman - in the end she said she is putting it through to Openreach and I would get services back in 24 hours. Said put me on with supervisor. Said he was busy. I said as I did not have any services I would like to cancel. She said ok - services cancelled - I then said I want compensation - she then put me on line with supervisor. He said we are sorry and I would get services back within 24 hours and he would post a compensation form to fill. Now waiting... Any assistance? |

my advice... try posting in the right forum. this is for vision not broadband.
and try contacting bt care (btcare@bt.com). they regularly monitor these forums and deal with people with problems. |

doesn't mention Vision once in his post and the OP created threads elsewhere on DS which suggests he is just looking for help from any forum group who will reply.

The only "compensation" you can claim is the rental on any of the assets you have(line rental, BB rental)
But this can only be claimed after the 3rd working day if the problem is not resolved, Works out to around 52p a day for line rental |

Emailed the ceo of bt. Got a phone call from his secretary who apologised and then said would call again later in the day. She did and said broadband would be active by tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

So, is it sorted now ? If it is then the CEO is certainly worth his £1m bonus
