I think this could be a big hit for them. Fox went all out on the scene in the episode - it was the biggest production number of the series so far, and they spent weeks prepping for it.

I love it - I knew I was going to given how much I like Glee and that being one of my favourite songs. A very close second to the original and all the parts seem to suit the voices used well. My only complaints are the need to cut out the word "bitch" and that "rah ah ah ah etc" sounds more ra ra a a a than rar rar uh uh ar (trivial I know but it is slightly annoying).

Spoiler

LMAO!

Oh, sure. Just like Glee have 'cashed in' on the 'success' of Katrina & The Waves, Rick Springfield, Barbra Streisand, AC/DC, Jazmine Sullivan, Heart, Young MC and the soundtracks to 'The Wiz' and 'Wicked' - to name but a few?

Like anything else on Glee, it is of course, by definition, shit. And that is because Glee itself is shit.

It's good you spend the time to write such a constructive post.

I really love, the glee version, almost as much as the original...! I hate the way they've had to make it as clean as possible though

Better to have a clean Glee version than no version at all, I guess.

LOVE IT, by the way. Here's the version from the live tour:

I think Dianna Agron looks gorgeous in Gaga-mode.

I can't understand it. The word bitch has been used on the show loads of times plus other bits of the show have been a lot more risque than using that word

To be fair, it will be Gaga cashing in on Glee's success if this song does well in the charts like most Glee songs seem to do.

I like this version, though not as much as the original but I'm looking forward to the episode. Also I really love their version of Pokerface with Rachel and Shelby.

I don't understand this. Aren't there DVDS out in the shops for Glee? How can there be DVDs in the shop if they are still airing episodes all the time or did they release it all to DVD before they air it on TV?

Only the first 13 episodes are on DVD.

This song is from the 9 extra episodes they filmed for Season 1.

Though Gaga's version is obviously the best, I prefer how they sing the first line of the chorus in this version.

There must be a lot of fans willing to part with cash early for it then.

Not really. The first 13 episodes were made a year ago, and work on their own as a standalone bunch of episodes.

In August, they're releasing both a complete season 1 box set of all 22 episodes, and 3-disk set of just the 9 new episodes.

Just about to go to bed... at.. oooh.. 3.40... too much ashes to ashes discussion.

Listening to the 'Showstoppers' album now - my personal favourite is 'I Dreamed a Dream'. I love SuBo's cover but this is fantastic.

Normally they put a slight change on the song, this one is too much like the original. But it's still good nevertheless.
