I have read in two TV guides that they get to sing their favourite song in show 1. So I am guessing the format will be...

Show 1:
New song and fave song for each girl
Voting lines open
VTs of dog rubbish and the task of the week
Group song by rest of the Dots
Result
Show ends voting lines open again (?)

Show 2:
Both sing OTR (?)
Family interviews
Result

Can anyone clarify?

Going on IDA and I think ADWD the reprising of their fave song and the group number by the ex-Dots will be in the 2nd show. The number with the former contestant usually includes whoever finishes third.

Yeah I heard that but two TV guides seem to say they do the favourite in the first show. hmmm.
The first show is 1 hour and the 2nd just 30 mins.

- 19:00 to 20:00
- 20:55 to 21:30

1 person will be eliminated at the end of Show 1.

In ADWD, the format was this:-

MAIN SHOW
Group song (featuring all past contestants and three finalists)
New song from each contestant
Big Band song (again new) from each contestant
Group song (the three finalists)
Lines Frozen - One Joseph announced as the 3rd placed contestant
Leaving Joseph's Farewell song (Close Every Door)

RESULTS SHOW
Group Song (featuring all past contestants including 3rd placed Joseph)
Favourite songs from the series by the two remaining constestants
Duet from the remaining two contestants
Lines Closed
Performance from Guest (Connie Fisher)
Result announced
Winner Performs Any Dream Will Do

I think HDYSAPLM and IDA were along similar lines, though I recall the girls each getting to sing a song from SOM/Oliver in the final).

Possibly Lee and Rachel performing together? Would make sense.

Now that looks pretty good.Although perhaps all three should sing their favourite song before the first elimination.
But seeing as they might get two new songs helps for a more balanced perspective.

Then again, in ADWD they weren't also auditioning coats to play the Dreamcoat.
