Brian Dowling issued a statement last night confessing to being the BB2 housemate referred to in in Dean's book.

Brian admitted, '' After 9 weeks stuck in the BB House, what pink blooded male wouldn't be up for a bit of fun? .......It was me. And for the record it happened days, not hours, after I left the BB house. But hey - who's counting.''

The fling was with one of BB's producers. One that also acts as the Voice of BB. This producer, who has not been named, was assigned to chaperone Brian when the series finished.

Brian says that he was shocked when the news was revealed by fellow BB2 housemate, Dean O'Loughlin, in his new book about Big Brother, ''Living In The Box'', published yesterday.

Dean, however, did not name Brian. Dean alleges that the two had already spent a good deal of time flirting in the Diary Room. Dean found out about all this at an after show party. '' I was shocked. Most of us were emotionally unstable when we left the house & I do feel we could have been taken advantage of.''

If you had spent the best part of nine weeks being chatted up and then spent a few more in the persons company, it's not surprising that you have a fling is it?

Dean has used the info well to publicise his book.

Considering that the person Brian had a fling with could've cashed in soon after it happened he must be a nice bloke.

This is huge news ... How brave of Brian to admit it, though ...

How much influence did that producer have over the editing?....How pleasent for Brian to have an extra person to confide in in the diary room for that matter.....hmmmmm

Dean's book should be good - he is probably the most thoughtful and perceptive of all the HMs.............

Brave!? This "revelation" must have been a dream come true for him. How long has it been since he made front-page news? Infact how long has it been since he made news on any page. If all he has to do to ignite his waning popularity for that little bit longer is to admit to once shagging a producer, then he'll do it. Saying that though, my dog could make front page of the star....and he's dead!

As for Dean .....well all credit to him for exposing the wheelings and dealings that take place behind the scenes.

will the producer get fired and did any off the production team know about it

I remember the BB2 lot whinged on a lot about the editing after the show was over and I just thought "sour grapes" but now you wonder if they all knew about this.

i cant remember much of bb 2 i liked it and the editing didnt bother me or at least i didnt notice it lol

Look at this post on this website, it's got just some of the things that Brian has done in the past year - and he's got 2 upcoming projects in the summer... declining career!! lol!

I wonder if any of the other "winners" slept with a producer?
