Really makes you wonder how much Jade was told in that meeting now doesn't it?

What are you all talking about? This was after he'd finished being in the show not before or during.

of course it was after but some of us here smell a rat.
it wouldn't shock me if the producer was grooming Brian.
make of that what you will.

I don't think any favours were done for Brian, by the later half of BB2 he was going well for himself and he was acting a role which would have been popular, it's not like BB3 and BB4 where the editing was so blatent.

My problem is with the way the HM's could have easily been coached as a result of building up a good inter-personal relationship with the producers.
Obviously Jade's chats are the best example but the whole Brian + Producer thing brings up the potential for even more fiddling to be done behind the scenes.

Big Brother was supposed to be the voice of authority and the psychiatrists for chats, sounds like this could have changed. Devalues the control they are supposed to have over them, maybe this will change this time?

So are you saying Brian had private chats in the diary room with this producer during the show which no one other than the producer and him were witness to? Conversations along the line of, "Brian, you're doing really well, you're VERY popular with the public, if you act in this or that way, it may clinch it for you"?

But he (presumably) hasn't, has he!

Let's hope the tabloids print his name and photograph. His behaviour is thoroughly unprofessional, in my opinion. Why should he be allowed to lurk in the shadows.

Well, Dean seems to be suggesting that there were goings on in the Diary Room, though he does not mention Brian & this producer in particular.

Dean emailed the 'This Is BB' site with quite a few details of what we can expect from his book.

Davina has always said on the eviction shows no information of any sort from the outside world is ever passed on to the contestants, I remember in particular her saying this after Jade's diary room psycho, lol, chat. There's obviously stuff which goes on which we don't know and which they lie about.

Its actually quite useful information.

I might have voted this year!

Hmm. Thing is the guy involved was 'one' of the producers. There'd be plenty of other people on the team so even if the bloke wanted to act unprofessionally (which I'm not suggesting for one moment) then someone else would have picked up on it.

The show was over and both people were old enough to know their own minds. It's a nice piece of gossip, but doesn't merit anyone losing their jobs.

But the flirting started long before the final night. The attraction started in Brian's Diary Room chats with this guy. All edited out of course.

Surely it can't have just been the one producer talking to Brian... they couldn't get away with that without other members of the BB team watching/listening, could they? And I can't see other producers or other BB people letting them get away with it!

Yes, but its easy to influence people isn't it, if they don't know you have an interest.

Going on about how funny so and so is and pointing up their entertaining bits to your colleagues would have an effect over time if they thought you were impartial.

Huh! What a swizz.

I wonder if Brian asked if he could watch him take a sheeeeet.
Edna

No I don't think that's fair. You're all automatically assuming that the producer was corrupt and incapable of doing his job properly - without showing any evidence.

Are you seriously trying to tell me that nobody on the Endemol staff has ever faniced a contestant?

I would have thought that the fact that Brian had made a friend of one of the Big Brothers and could go into the diary room and have a chat with that person put him at an unfair advantage because the other hms didn't have that type of contact with anyone other than each other and really, the experience should have been the same for everone but wasn't because Brian had his extra friend in the diary room.Even if the producer behaved ethically and didn't manipulate anything in Brian's favour Brian would still have benefitted just through having a friendly rapport with someone outside of the group because it would have made the experience more pleasant for him.

Thats more what I mean disnaespeakmuch

I'm not saying that this producer did say anything, more the case of he 'could have'. And any sort of friendship shouldn't go beyond the things we saw with past HM's (ie knowing that BB won't answer questions, joking with them etc) if anything something that has been getting worse (and may be sorted out with this Evil BB) is that BB isn't seen as any authority figure anymore. They ask for stuff, they get it.
In the case of Jade we definately know things were said for example.

And I'm sure lot sof BB staff fancied a lot of the HM's over the years, and of course I bet that theres loads of videos of good stuff that happened floating around that will never be shown. And when they come out of the house they can do what they want as far as I care.
