So what is wrong with Leadworth?

Something doesn't seem right with it.

In Amy's choice you get to know a bit more about the place. I think it's a place someone has created.

I think the Doctor or possibly the Time Lords created it, no idea why they would of but I think they might.

In AC (Amys Choice) it is called "The village that time forgot" by the Dream Lord who we later find out to be The Doctor. ?Why would The Doctor call it the village that time forgot? I think The Doctor knows what is wrong with Leadworth but wont tell Amy or Rory.

Also in 11th Hour there is one scene where The Doctor is walking down the street with Amy and they say
The Doctor: "Where am I?"
Amy: "Leadworth"
The Doctor: "Where is the rest of it?"
This tells me that The Doctor has been there before and he knows a part of it has gone and that he knows stuff has been missing.

Other things in Amy's choice when they all sit on the bench The Doctor says "A bench wow what will they think of next" Who says that about a bench and who is "they". Also before they fall asleep for the first time The Doctor says "There wasn't any time for bird songs in the good old days" whilst talking Leadworth. Why does he say that.

I know this may all sound stupid but what do you think??

(Prepares to be laughed at )

I think you're reading too much into it. The Doctor's 'where's the rest of it' and the dream Lord's 'village that time forgot' comments were just the typical disparaging remarks that townie's frequently use when talking about quiet, supposedly 'boring' villages.

maybe or is the OP right. Is this Stephen Moffats way of foreshadowing - using common phrases that no one will pick up on to hide information.

Currently, 60p per KG. Should we be alerting your local police to start watching the churches?

I would, but my local police force have never forgiven me for flirting with them whilst drunk and bundled into the back of a police van.

It was London that corrupted me, I should have stayed in my little Wiltshire village, not unlike Leadworth.

See how I cleverly got back on topic?

Maybe the Doctor's sense of humour is a little too deadpan for some! When he asks where the rest of it is, he's simply commenting on how small it is - nothing he can use to save the world. In a way, a kind of nod to the way he's used to working within London...

I fully suspect there's something funny happening in Leadworth - after all, it's supposedly the location of the big bang that caused the cracks - but I don't think it's the existence of Leadworth itself.

He has a short memory then. What about all the small villages he had adventures in previously. The Daemons,The Android Invasion and Stones of Blood to name but a few. Perhaps the crack has erased them.

I think this new Doctor has an unfair prejudice against villages.

You'd have thought he'd love them after having so much trouble in Laandaan.

I meant a nod from Moffat! A deliberate lampshade-hanging of the shift in the new series!
