Yes but as people have said, I think Sophie's fans and a lot of the public who liked her but she wasn't their favourites would have liked to hear from her. If it's not filmed, they don't get to see her for the last time and see her being congratulated. Doesn't mean to say it didn't happen, but I'm sure a lot of people would have liked to see it.

Please do - from my recollection it has been the same every series;

Keith didn't get to sing ADWD - and Jess didn't sing ALAHNM.

I still think more thought should be given to allowing the runner up her final few minutes of fame.

Definitely. It all ended very abruptly for Sophie.

The other girls not only get to say their thank yous and good byes but they got to sing as well and Sophie didn't even get to say a few words

They should have cut down on the family VTs and spared some extra time at the end to fit in a brief interview with the runner up.

Completely agree. Can't stand the VTs - we all know what the family are going to say, and we all know that the girls' families must be immensely proud. Give the girls more opportunities to shine whilst performing - after all, that's what we were all meant to be judging.

I thought that too. Don't think it was meant to be like that.

I think she just wanted to go and be comforted by her family. She had just come second. That's probably the hardest place to finish in. So close, but not quite there.

from watching most reality shows, it often pays to come 3rd rather than 2nd, if you come 2nd - NADA !!

quickly overlooked and cameras straight to the winner before air time is finally over.

well done sophie you are a little star !!!

tbh, I had no interest in what Sophie had to say personally. And whilst I'm a Danielle fan, I'd have had no interest in what she had to say if she came second either. You can't really compare coming second to getting eliminated imo. Getting eliminated is about you, coming second is about the person who won imo.

This is always the way.

I don't think there's a way round it. And given a choice, I imagine Sophie would have preferred to have come second than third. Though in another way it doesn't actually matter.

Lovely girl. At least she got to sing OTR and showed off what she could do. Though I would be a bit pissed I didn't get to go over the moon.

It would be polite to congratulate her as runner up,this show always rudely ignores the person who is second

I agree actually. I thought it was awful. All the other finalists were giving her hugs and I think it was steph who had her arm round her the whole time danielle was talking to graham

It was tougher for Jessie as 3 of the judges had chosen her as their Nancy; they learnt their lesson this time.

I do not think they had enough time.

She ran off stage to join her family, perfectly understandably; GN tried to stop her but decided it was kinder to let her go.

I know. I was sad about that.
I can see why it might be awkward since it was Danielle's moment. Sophie was so lovely when Lauren and Danielle were singing, her hands not knowing what to do doing Lauren's exit and her little thumbs up to Danielle made me laugh. Awww.

As for the running off, I think she thought that was what she was meant to do, hence her 'oh sorry'! She seemed pretty composed and had Graham asked her to come back she would have but in the end he seemed to think, may as well let her go. It is irrelevant anyway as she knew already she was not singing herself out.. her running off is minor.
If they wanted to they could combine her exit song with Danielle's winning song. Wouldn't be hard. Just cut to Danielle after Sophie's and thus D would still get her big last-person to be shown winning moment.

Basically it feels like there is no closure for us or her. Tis only a show but it is odd.

But yes, she has the shoes.
