Did I hear Graham Norton correctly when he said that the chosen Toto is for a gala performance? Does that mean Dangerous Dave is not going to be the 'permanent' Toto?

It's a 'one night only' job! (I wanted Spider anyway!)

Yes it does. Dave will be Toto for one performance only.

How did I miss this about it only being one performance only for the chosen Toto?

(I wanted the pug cross, after his star turn on the theatre seat.)

It would have been far too big a risk to have a 'pet' dog as Toto all the time, it will go to a 'professionally' trained dog. Apart from anything else if I was Dangerous Dave's owner I wouldnt have wanted to loose him to London for months on end that would be distressing to both the dog and the owner.

I had assumed the owner would go too and that they would have been willing to do this or else wouldn't have entered their dog into the competition.

In any case, I hope Dave does well and enjoys his time in the spotlight!
