Just curious how many of you will be going to see the show. I would really love to go (my first west end experience) but it would involve staying overnight in London.
I have a found a hotel but rooms are going fast. I don't want to book a room incase I can't get tickets for the selected date but I don't want to get tickets in case I can't get a room.

dilema! lol

I would've seen it if Sophie won only because I'm not actually that big a fan of the actual musical. But I know Danielle will be a fabulous Dorothy and good luck to her!

I'd suggest that you book a room. If you can't get a ticket for the show there are plenty of other shows you can go to see, or other things to do in London.

I might do.

Danielle was my favourite from auditions and I liked all the last 4 in the end.

Only a late night train ride home for me

i'm not, it doesn't work as a show (regardless of how many new songs ALW throws at it) and i'd rather spend my money on seeing something decent! really, i'm waiting until steph gets cast in something that suits her, she's a phenomenal performer but she was auditioning for completely the wrong role.

Can you recommend any good shows just incase I can't see Dorothy?

I would definitely have gone if Jess, Steph or Sophie had won. I was ready to buy tickets this evening if Sophie had won.

I wont be going now because I don't particularly like Danielle's style of singing or acting. I find her quite emotionless. That could all change with a year of growing and training of course, and I'm not trying to be nasty about Danielle either, she simply doesn't float my boat. I really do wish her the best of luck and I'm sure she will do a very good job of playing Dorothy.

Am struggling a bit with this one as don't live in London myself anymore - but think it's well worth an overnight stay in London. You could try some of the longstanding shows, such as Les Mis, Phantom, Chicago. Are they still doing Joseph? (that's my absolute favourite because it's humourous).

Probably, I live in London so travel isn't a problem. It's just question of what other shows are on/how much money I have. Wizard Of Oz isn't a favourite of mine so I'd only be seeing it for Danielle. I'd be interested to see who else is cast alongside her too.

But if it was say a choice between The Wizard of Oz and seeing, say, a West end version of Next to Normal I'd choose the latter.

I would LOVE to go, but things are a bit tight chez nous so I'll have to save up.

My friend currently has a spare ticket, so if it's still spare nearer the time then I might be going!
I'll think nearer the time about actually going myself (bad wording... you know what I mean!)! There's other musicals I want to see more though & I'm not a big fan of the music from TWOO.

I'll start by answering the question. Probably. I wanted Sophie to win but will most likely see it as I did all the others.

As far as you seeing it. It depends on what night of the week you want to go and see it and if you want to stay in London or outside London.
Travel Lodge doesn't release budget tickets more than about 3-6 months in advance. I know the show hasn't opened yet but say you got a ticket for Sun 14th to Fri 19th Nov. You could get a room in a Travelodge at Kings Cross for between £19 and £35, If you just did it on the Sunda there is one in Covent Garden for £25 for the night.

The Travelodge deals are currently up to end of November, a few in December. I would suggest getting the theatre ticket and just make sure you keep looking at the Travelodge website at least once a week starting the end of June early July. Premier also do good deals, Often 3 nights for the price of two if you want a few days there.

I'm waiting to see what Jenny, Jess and Steph do. I wouldn't go out of my way to see the show but Danielle winning wouldn't put me off either.

Booked!!! I would have gone, probably, for any of the final three. But for Dan I'll go opening night...

Les Miserables is a great show. We Will Rock You is a dopey story but great music (Queen ) Avenue Q is quite a good show. Mamma Mia always has a good atmosphere because it's ABBA music. Wicked is good if you want an Pre-Wizard of Oz.
