Just watching her Radio 1 Big Weekend performance on tv now. She looks great and acts like a popstar, but if she was to enter X Factor now, would she even get past the auditions? I hear better singers at pub karioke!

I highly doubt she'd get past the first audition. I'm not sure how she made it through the Popstars one?

I dunno, the beginning of her set was predictably shit. But now, half way through Rain On Me, she's actually singing like she means it.

AND I THINK I JUST SAW CHERYL COLE WITH A SWEAT PATCH!!!

There is a God then.

Technically, yes.

But not very well, her voice has no power and she has real tuning problems. Worryingly she refused to listen to herself with Chris Moyles after her set, so it's no wonder why she's so bad.

Singing and singing well are 2 different things. Singing and having the look the person forming the group wants is what's more important nowadays.

She can sing, not the best in the world though but she's not too bad either, somewhere in between I guess.

How is it any different to Simon or Louis telling someone they are off key? You don't need to be a singer to know when someone is singing out of tune, and it's not like she goes out of her saying she's an amazing singer.

Technically, yes she can sing, but she definitely would not get past the audition stage XFactor. Alot of the human population can hold a tune and sing in tune, but it doesn't mean they can "sing" in the true sense of the word.

Tonight, I was in the kitchen and could hear some godawful, out-of-tune caterwauling coming from the TV.

'Who the hell is that, that's horrible, they'll never get through' I called to my OH, thinking he was watching some poor deluded wretch on 'Britain's Not Got Talent'.

I wasn't aware that the show is on tomorrow instead, and it had been Cheryl Cole in concert!

I take back slagging off her Rain on Me performance. It was actually really good. So was Fireflies

I think she just gets very nervous, cos she knows she's got a lot to prove and everything.

Just watching it now. She's terrible. Her voice doesn't have any oomph or projection at all.
Just got up to Parachute which sounds OK but it's the backing singers covering her.

I vote yes.

Everyone seems to forget the Great British public made her a popstar and gave her the life she has now.

No that was Simon Cowell, before that she was a woman who beat up toilet attendants because she didn't get a lollipop (I'm not kidding thats what it was over)

Fake on PSTR and fake now.

she can sing like many of the greatest musicians ever could, badly, but unlike them she has no other musical talent so doesn't belong in the music industry.

I think she can sing but the songs that are given to her are just like...
The only time I've seen her sing decently/well live is with Snow Patrol at Children In Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall

Other than that on performance, no I don't think she can sing amazingly.

Just watched the radio 1 performance and overall it was OK at best.

I am impressed though that the majority of it was live and out of all the songs she sang 'let it rain' was done really well
