I'm not a Joe fan, but its pretty obvious to anyone with ears than he is a vastly more competent singer than Cheryl, and both Mariah and Whitney would blow her into oblivion, even in their current state of decline.

Britney is a great vocalist, it's recently sherelies on some auto tune to adapt to the melodies, you should hearher songsmore!! on her first 4 albums there was NO auto tuneandshesounds so deep and meaningful! it's beautiful plus loads of demo recordings for Blackout with no auto tune either!! she should go back to it, Britney is ABOVE Cheryl!! and Mariah and Whitney can still knock herback despite menot entirely liking them!!
Cheryl is just acrappy vocalist to be honest and am fed up with her trying to sing when all shedoes is do an infrequent waily thing and talks it through!! it's painful!!

Joe?! I'm not a fan of Joe, but any single one of his live performances from the show, were 100x more in tune than all of Cheryl's performances throughout her whole career put together.
Mariah may have lost the agility in her voice, but she still sings in tune, which is the absolute basic requirement of a singer.
Britney can definitely sing - all of her peformances from when she was a child, and in her earlier albums show that she can definitely sing properly.
I watched Cheryl supporting Black Eyed Peas last night and I would have to say, No she definately cannot sing well. A lot of the time I couldn'y tell what she was singing and the parts I could hear were more often than not either out of tune or just not enough oomph to them. Her voice is weak.
She does put on a good show, despite her poor vocals I really enjoyed her performance, the dancers were very good (and she kept up well). I did feel a bit embarrassed for her though, she really wasn't very good vocally. I think I probably enjoyed her performance mainly because she looked so happy doing it and I was pleased for her after all the shit Ashley has put her through. I did think she sounded very Karaoke version unfortunately.

Of course Cheryl can sing. I think a lot of people still mis-use "<insert artist name> can't sing>" for the fact they simply don't like the artist's voice or music.
I'm not disputing her vocals have been slightly ropey over the weekend. Singers will not be perfect every time.
While I agree that Britney is a great vocalist, I'd just like to point out that it's not her (or any artist usually) who actually use the autotune or autopitch techniques.
Sometimes producers just want everything to be spot on perfect and just see the vocal as another instrument (which I guess it is).
Often guitars etc are "autotuned" and tidied up but nobody ever mentions that. Nobody ever brings up the fact some bands don't actually play the instruments on record at all and let pro-tools do the work. Why should singers get all the flack?

Imo Cheryl's voice has no depth, no range,no tone= Weak vocals.How she got a radio 1 live lounge session I do not know! Its all about being a" celebrity" today,rather than having good vocals.

I agree with this, there's nothing distinctive about her voice at all, she just about manages to carry a tune in her songs. I heard her Fireflies cover for live lounge and, if that was anything to go by, she definitely can't sing.
That said, I do love Parachute
