Own brand mobiles - are they any good?

I've noticed that the main mobile networks all seem to be putting out some of their own branded mobiles these days, e.g. Orange Miami, T-mobile Vairy/Orange Vegas, Vodafone Touch and so on.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has used any of these own-brand mobiles and just how good are they, or not as the case may be and is their quality worse than the main branded mobiles?

Many of them are made by the major mobile manufacturers but just rebranded. For example the Orange SPV was an HTC phone. The o2 XDA series of phones were originally made by HTC too, in fact many still are.

Oh and the T-Mobile MDA are HTC too, just rebranded

That's a good point, carguy. That Vodafone Touch is apparently a rebrand of an obscure Alcatel model but both versions appear to be a bit on the dubious side judging from the user reviews.

Is there any model in particular that you've been looking at?
A quick search for that model will no doubt bring up information behind the true maker of the phone.
