I guess we're discounting the last bum note then?

Come on,she did'nt need to sing that note, but all credit to her,she went for it,no doubt encouraged by the Lord himself.

None of the panel mentioned it.Opera experts on this forum stated it was probably unwise to move around as she sang it,but technically speaking it was a good note.

It wasn't even the best performance of that night let alone best reality performance ever... The last note was difficult to listen to and the rest of the performance, while in tune, was nothing special. Lauren has done better, other Dorothies have done better and many other reality show contestantsbhave done better.

You need to watch more TV. I liked it but it's not even the best performance on this show.

I could listen to Lauren sing the phonebook but I can't watch her.

Me too! Her facial expressions and mannerisms really irked me after a while. Beautiful, beautiful voice.

It was probably her best performance but it wasn't the best of the night or the series and personally I think there have been better performances on Maria, Nancy and X-Factor.

it just shows her versatility that she has a soprano voice, Lauren will be going on to bigger and better things

Totally agree.
I think the fact that she even attempted that finishing note, indicated something about her confidence, motivation and ability.
If ALW encouraged her,he did it for a reason ,as it was totally unnecessary in the context of giving a good rendition of that particular song.

It was pretty fantastic, aside from the last note. She has a phenomenal voice but the judges gushing did her no favours.

I'm excited to see what she does next. Lovely person, in my eyes.

Excepting the final note I thought it was a great performance but I don't think it was even Lauren's best performance that night, that would be Over the Rainbow for me.

I think Lauren has a fabulous voice, but I Could Have Danced All Night wasn't her strongest performance of the series. I was a bit disappointed by it, TBH. I was expecting her to excel, but she didn't. Her song with the Scarecrow/Lion/Tinman and OTR were far better!

I think Lauren's best performance is one that rarely gets a mention - Being Alive.

I loved this performance. Her talent should take her far.

I'm with the OP. It was a phenomenal performance. She's a stunning singer, a great actress and quite the twinkletoes.

I'd say it was the best performance in this series - by far - and the only time I could see any of the Dorothy's performing along side leading ladies of the calibre of performers like Kerry Ellis or Idina Menzel.

I thought it was very good - the last note was maybe a bit shrill but full credit to her for attempting it. She has a beautiful voice and I imagine there's a great career ahead of her. Thought her little song with the scarecrow was great, but then all the girls were good in that song.

i think she'd be excellent as Eliza Doolittle - far more suited to that role!
