I'd love to, but I'm not sure the superior and prideful Alaya would let me

This incarnation of Silurian reminded me a bit of the Narn from Babylon 5, and Na'Toth in particular.

Hmm. hat would suggest she's a Silurian/Sea Devil hybrid. Though surely they've evolved in a very odd place on her anatomy?

She just reminded me of every Michael Westmoor alien ever from Star Trek. Sulibans or Jem Hadar or whatever.

Yes, for heaven's sake let's have the sensible, mature analysis that Dr Who demands instead of all this childishness!

Interestingly, IMDB have Neve McIntosh in 2 roles for these episodes

Actually, the last thing a cold-blooded animal needs is something to keep them cold! They need heat from external sources because they don't generate their own, so it's probably a Thermos.

Does that mean my husband is really a silurian...although he lives IN wales rather than under it

I had originally thought it might be a packed lunch - so you've definitely hit the nail on the head there I think. The question is what would a Silurian have as a packed lunch? Definitely cricket and grasshopper soup! Then again I could just be pandering to stereotypes and my comments might be considered herpetophobic - but if we are going to share the earth then one has to consider the dinner arrangements when we all invite them round.

What is 'generic foreign'? Do you not get out much?

I mean a non-specific accent to denote not of Britain. Basically, it didn't sound like Scottish (nor Welsh) to me but I couldn't identify it.

Having heard the actress speak in Doctor Who Confidential it did sound like she was putting on some kind of accent when in character but that it was not of a specific region. I'm pretty rubbish with accents so I could be wrong.

Did I detect a little oversensitivity there?

Yeah, think they are a bit oversensitive, don't worry, I think everything you said was fine. You were commentating on what you observed after all, it was 'generic foreign' tv-land style. You didn't tell her to do that accent (which yes, she was putting on and didn't have in confidential). Doesn't prove that you don't go out much!
