Unlike the other winner Danielle's young and could appeal to a younger audience. She also sang pop really well on OTR. So like Diana Vickers could she do well in the charts and the west end?

I'm a big Danfan, but I don't think so (well, I hope not!) Mainly just because she wants to do MT, so it's unlikely she'd even want to do pop, but also because her strength is in her acting, which, although you can get a bit of that through her singing, is better suited to stage.

Having download her 'Over the Rainbow' single, I think she could have a music career, though not necessarily a pop one. Perhaps she could do what John Barrowman and Michael Ball have done and release a CD of musical theatre songs - I'd certainly buy it if she did

No. Her voice is far, far too plain and generic and she has nothing about her in terms of personality. Acting is the reason she won this show and that is not a relevant skill in the pop world.

bitter much? TBH signing isn't a relevant skill in the pop world!! I don't want her to go into pop I'll be happy buying cast recordings she doesn't seem the person to crave fame none of the last ones did, so no reason to go into pop!!

From what I have seen of Danielle from interviews and this show I just don't feel like she would ever want a pop career.... I mean she might release a few albums with musical theatre songs... but from what I see from Danielle it seems that Musical theatre is what she wants.... she loves performing and the money or fame does not matter to her she just wants to be able to get up on stage and entertain ..... so even if she was given the chance I just can not see her taking it

Just telling it like it is i'm afraid. Anyone who thinks Danielle is a pop star is delusional. I agree vocals are not essential for a pop career, but you either need that or a presence/personality. Danielle has neither.

In your not-so-humble opinion... I think she has bags of prescence, more so than the other finalists (though Stephanie and Jess had loads too) And as for personality, I dont see how you can even think you know what her personality's like from the show... I wouldnt claim to know any of the girl's personalities, I just know how they act on stage and in front of cameras...

Danielle has presence, personality and star quality!! And it seems the majority of the British public agree with me, she may not appeal to you, just as Sophie(wild guess your a fan) doesn't appeal to me. That doesn't take away from the fact that either has the ability to hold and captivate a audience.

Your right Danielle isn't a pop star she's a musical theatre star just like she wanted to be and none of your comments or bitterness can take that away *gloats*

p.s. this is not a dig at any other contestants

She might release an album like Lee Mead and Connie Fisher but not a full blown pop career

i think someone like steph or even stephanie might be better suited to a pop career just because of the nature of their voices and their personalities

None of the girls have a pop career. Stephanie is the only one to have ever had even the slightest glimmer of a smidgeon of a shot at one. I liked Sophie, but Danielle will make a good Dorothy just not a pop star- all I'm saying. Well that and that as a person she *comes across as* deadly dull. Her reaction to the announcement she'd won being a point in question. Even ice maiden Connie Fisher wasn't that composed when she was announced as the winner. Danielle either knew she was going to win or has a heart of stone- there is no other explanation.

No she's too subtle, too much of an actress to be a pop star. She is also too thoughtful and introspective, the very qualities that assist her ability to interpret.

This shouts musical theatre, not the superficiality of pop.

I think she is just extremely professional.... there were points where she looked like she really wanted to cry in the happiness but then just composed herself.... and for that she needs a standing ooooovatttiiooooooonnnn hilier style

The majority of Casting Show contestants do not have 'pop' voices (hence the struggles of many when it comes to singing 'pop' songs).

I think Danielle could have a recording career (two of the three previous winners have), but not as a 'pop' singer.

I probably should have said recording career rather than pop star. A female Michael Buble.

I thought Danielle was one who didn't struggle with pop songs.

No.

But I could easily see Steph, Stephanie or Amy as popstars.

Stephanie could have a decent pop career but I'm not sure she'll get the platform Danielle has.

Oh give over will you! She was stunned, there were tears in her eyes, she was looking out for her family and then she was giggling like mad - I thought her reaction was lovely.

And no, I don't think she'll have a pop career because she's not a pop artist - she's a Musical Theatre performer. A bloody good one and all, as the majority of voters know.

She was probably in shock! It was a massive moment and different people react in different ways. A close relative of mine died suddenly last week - I didn't cry till yesterday. It doesn't mean I have a heart of stone, it means that I was in shock and it only hit me yesterday. Anyway take a look at the photos in this article and say again that she has a heart of stone.

I'd say that Steph and Jenny have good pop voices and, who knows, could have pop careers if things worked out that way.

I dont think so. The only contestants from this series who I think could actually have a pop music career are Amy and Steph. In fact, I think Steph would have been better applying for The X Factor, because I think she'd make a better popstar than stage singer. Love her though.

Steph would be wasted singing pop.

I'm not sure why people think Jenny can sing pop she got no pop songs to sing.

Wht about 'Songbird'? Christine McVey of Fleetwood Mac wrote and originally sang the song - I'll never forget the first time I saw her singing it live in Wembley donkeys years ago. And Fleetwood Mac are a pop group - sort of!

I don't think Danielle would be suited to a pop career. She's definitely destined for musical theatre.

I would say that Steph, Stephanie and Amy would have a shot at pop careers though, but I would like to see them pursue musical theatre, they all have promise.
