Actually, I read the Apprentice forum a lot, I just don't post on it very often. As a woman, nothing gets on my nerves more than an ill-informed feminist rant. I'm all for equality and some forms of feminism but ignoring things that don't fit your theory does a disservice to women and makes us look not so bright. That is why I responded to that other poster.

And if anything undermines a person's viewpoint more than a patronising term-of-endearment, it's the use of the word 'whatever' in the manner you just have.

You could argue thats a good position as anyone coming in for a birthday/aniversary card could have easily been persuaded to buy a special personalised cake instead. On this occasion I really don't think location could have had more influence than a poor team led by a poor leader.

The whole thing just seems like a satire. Seeing Rhys (who looks and sounds about 12) talking and acting like some kind of business genius nearly had me in tears of laughter.

Oh for ****'s sake. There have been a number of Non-Appreciation threads, most notably in the Strictly forums. They tend to have been a place for the people who may enjoy a show without getting fangirly about participents, to poke fun at the hyperbole, to diss the outfits. They happened because of some of the rather more nauseating appreciation threads and some people just wanted to take a different tack.

If you were to draw a Venn diagram of those posting in Unapp threads in different forums, there would be a large overlap in the posters. Very occasionally (and it is rare) someone will be genuinely nasty about someone. This is not welcomed. The Unapp threads can be a haven for those slightly cynical viewers (cat ownership and Irish origins are frequent but not obligatory) and have been in my experience very welcoming. Maybe have a read of some of the other threads and you can see the general patterns?

Anyway. I hugely unappreciated Rhys (or perhaps appreciated for the huge comic value) this week. From his sheer joy at being project manager, his unbridled enthusiasm, his churchillian motivational skills - hilarious.

Seriously though, I unappreciated Kirsty. Possibly my favourite candidate, I didn't like how she passed on the project manager's job (and then fulfilled the remit) and then claiming that Rhys really really wanted to do it. I was a bit disappointed.

Kristina was the one who got her her team to strut around in short skirts, selling kisses and bum gropes to old men. I think she knew a bit about using sex appeal to get ahead.

I don't really agree that women on this show coast on their looks - if you look at who makes the interviews I'd argue that it's usually actually the less obviously attractive/sexy ones who make it, and many a pretty slim girl has been fired - some without much obvious reason (Miriam/Naomi). I just think Kristina is an odd choice for an example given as how she openly admitted to using sex as a sales tactic.

That's not the point I was making though. I meant that Kristina herself doesn't really exude obvious, stereotypical sex appeal, even if she tried too. Not saying that no men fancied her, or would fancy her, but she wouldn't be a crowd-pleaser.

I agree with you though, I don't believe having sex appeal has benefited female contestants on the show.

He was done up like a kipper. From the minute he grudingly said the words 'I'll do it then' he was doomed. Didn't really like the way the other 3 tried to make it look as though he wasn't hustled into it either. Of course he had to make it sound a bit like he wanted it when it was decided - and if he hadn't that would have been another stick to beat him with anyway!

Having said that, it was hilarious to watch him though.

Not quite sure why LudSugah let Adam off games with what appeared to be just a sniffle, though I thought we would get an 'I didn't get to be a founder of a billion dollar empire selling something or other by pandering to my sinuses' sermon, but no. Sent home before you say Hot Lemon.

I think it has in individual circumstances - more attractive people of both genders have flirtation to use as a sales tactic and have done so - Michelle Dewberry is an obvious case. I just don't think anyone's ever "coasted" on it - they've always had more skills to back it up.

Kristina selling kisses to desperate old buffers is her using her sex appeal. Doesn't matter if she's not a 20 something pneumatic natural blonde with Bambi's legs. If you're just saying that she wasn't popular with the audience for her looks then I'd agree, but I thought the use of the word coasting implied that you were talking about what she'd done to be popular with Alan/win the tasks.

Perhaps Katie Hopkins might be the exception that proved your rule? Though 'used' rather than 'coasted'.

I think the producers have an eye to looks though. TA is such a visual show and anyone who looks like Marty Feldman has yet to make the final 16
