BBCblob

http://www.ananova.com/entertainment...sm_963818.html

Emma Nightingale turns up at the gay vet's home after eight years away, according to The Sun.

The pair shared the soap's first lesbian kiss in 1995.

Zoe, played by Leah Bracknell, will be torn between Scott Windsor, the father of her child, and blast from the past Emma.

Sounds...... boring.....repetitive....?... I think so

This is quite annoying. One minute, she's straight, the next she's a lez. As Eileen Grimshaw would say '' Is she rice or chips?''

couple of points.
1-is the actresss who plays emma the same one who played her before?she looks different to me.
2-was that rant by olivia predictable or what?it was more or less exactly what rob said to derek in EE,and what karl's said to todd in corrie.funny ,all the gay people i know don't talk like peter tatchell ,making big speeches at anyone who disagrees with them.do the soap writers meet and agree common themes?this whole story is a bit on the daft side anyway.millionaire lesbian can't find a girlfriend?oh yeah, sure.

agreed, if she ever left the house she might have a chance of meeting someone other than Scott.

I think it is the same actress playing Emma, she's just had a makeover. So now Zoe has to decide rice or chips. I think I can guess.

She didn't seem exactly 'torn' did she? Or was maybe there was a hidden meaning in 'I'm with Scott now, please leave'

I'm confused -- does this refer to the eps we've already seen (I missed the bit where Emma first returned, only saw the bit where Olivia had a hissy fit about rice or chips) -- or is it saying Emma is going to feature in future eps?

(And no, Zoe didn't seem at all torn in the bit I saw)

Well i can't see Emma returning after Olivia's little scene (unless it's to appologise for her gf's behaviour) so i would assume it refers to last night's episode. Things will not be allowed to go smoothly tho, so maybe she will come back again.

Does seem a bit odd to get her just to turn up 'conveniently' just as Zoe has decided to snog Scott, so maybe she will return again in a few weeks.

Hope so, even she is better than Scott.

I thought that Scott said he would wait for Zoe, however I already get the feeling from last night that he is already getting frustrated.

I hope, even if it doesn't work out, that Zoe and Scott can be close friends. I have a feeling that Emma may return for good.

It would be lovely to have Emma back, she was for me the only plausable lover Zoe has had over the year's.

As for Scott yes agreed, read some spoiler's that he try's to seduce Zoe and fail's, he then get's all upset when she say's she cant remember their first sexual encounter back in 2002 because of her illness. He then back's his bag's and threaten's to walk out and Zoe beg's him not too they then kiss and Scott lead's her upstairs to bed, now i thought he was willing to giver her time IE: few week's perhap's a month or two?? but a few day's!?? he is getting ept up about it!! so much for giving her time! Anyone else get the feeling that part of the attraction he has for Zoe is the idea of bedding a lesbian?

On another note who think's which one will fail first, will Scott walk away or will it be Zoe call an end to it somewhere down the line?

I'm really getting pi55ed off with the script writer, they keep changing things about that make now sense!.

Day's and weeks ago, Scott said that he loved Zoe and was prepared to give her time! A week later he is getting upset because she doesn't want anything too physical, I really thought that Scott would want the family life, I thought he had changed.

I don't think he would really walk out, come on, she's given him a job, a home, a car, he's with his daughter, and she's a millionaire, what more does he want??

He's maybe pushing her to see how far she's willing to go?

I think it will be interesting to see how it pan's out, I hope they can build a relationship, a happy one at that, as there are very very few in Emmerdale now.

I cant help but think that he is using emotional manipulation to get what he want's and this for me cast's the relationship in a rather dubious light. I still think in fact convinced that part of the attraction for him is the idea of bedding a hard core lesbian, Zoe want's love and companionship and i really do not think Scott has what it take's to give her this he is alway's pawing at her, dont get me wrong i think the storyline Re: Zoe is realistic it does happen IRL, and i do not think it is a daft storyline, it is just Scott hasnt got the mental nor emotional maturity to deal with it.

It's funny really, Scott has been talking recently about how he likes his life with Zoe and the family, telling her to talk to her etc, that doesn't sound like he's just in it for sex. But reading the spoilers etc, seems they are going to turn him back into a love rat, which I think is a pitty. Why can't they make them a happy couple? After all, what else has Scott got in the village, nobody else really likes him, therefore I can't see why he would jepordise what he has got with Zoe, he has so much to lose, a lot more than Zoe. I just can't see why he would risk it all, after all he did say he could wait, and apart from Chloe a few day's ago it's been months see he's seen any action!!

Clue: She's a gorgeous millionaire lesbian, he's a heterosexual no-brain garage mechanic.

Even in soapland that hasn't got forever written all over it has it

Last night we saw Zoe, Scott and the kids together, they looked very comfortable together and they both seemed to enjoy themselves. The more this continues, the more plausable and realistic it becomes.

according to the Sun, Zoe wants to take a break from the show.

it was a very short article, didn't say for how long.
She said she was tired of playing a lesbian and wanted to try other things.

If that is the case then why doesnt she just quit the soap, she'll be lucky to find other work she will be too typecasted, o i forgot she could alway's be a yoga teacher <Nowt wrong with this mind>

Don't know if I believe she actually said that. She's playing a character who happens to be a lesbian, but she hasn't had a 'gay' storyline in years except for the brief one with Charity. So she could hardly be tired of the lesbian aspect. Anyway, she's now in a hetero relationship so it would not be the time to start complaining on that score

What she actually said was she would like to try something else, even if it was just for a few weeks. She does not want to quit the soap.

I wasnt saying she wanted to quit the soap, what i meant was if she is so fed up then why not walk away. Personnaly i think the Sun is playing with word's, iread in a mag interview that leah wanted to take a break and try other thing's, not once did she mention she was fed up playing Zoe.

Actors often disappear from soaps for a few weeks anyway so that shouldn't be a problem. How dyou think Anne Kirkbride gets to be that lovely mahoganey colour, the sun ain't that strong in Weatherfield

What I meant was that, as you say, the Sun was exaggerating and misinterpreting for the sake of finding something to print.
