The fact that there were only 11 contestants.*they could have made it 12 like in the Joseph and Nancy
shows
The fact that there was a double elimination week. There should have been two seperate weeks for the top 6 and top 5
The fact that they only sang one song each in the final/semi final. Each contestant should have had two songs (at least) when they were in the top 4 and top 3. If Steph had another song that showed her performance skills off better in the top 4, and Sophie had one where she was not as good as she had been when she did Reflection, we might have had Steph in the final, and Lauren coming second (or maybe even beating Danielle, though I have to admit, it most probably wouldn't have happened).
The fact that the song choices were terrible. Sophie had some horrible song choices (Love Song, That Don't Impress Me, etc). The only song Danielle had where she really shone like the winner she is was Mambo Italiano. She could have had some other brilliant songs as well, other than Could It Be Magic, Cry Me River etc. Lauren had better songs, but yet again, none were fantastic choices, except for Run and Nobody Knows. Sway has been done twice before, and Man That Got Away is a Jessie Buckley classic (in ALW's eyes) so it was rather silly to have it given to her. i think Steph got the best songs, and Jessica got some great ones too. Jenny started with two great songs, and then got rubbish song choices that were not going to do her any favours. Stephanie also never got great songs that she could make her own. Bronte also had an awful song the week she was eliminated. With better songs, I really think this series would have been the best yet, with more performances that would be able to rank with Connie's 'Shout', Lee's 'Paint It Black', Jodie's 'Send In*The Clowns', Jessie's 'Man That*Got Away', Siobhan's 'Songbird', Abi's 'Big Spender', Rachel's 'Cabaret', Aoife's 'Sway' and the others of that calibre
