The day before the final, me and my friend were dying to meet john somewhere and we heard he was on The One show with the 3 dorothys. We went to the BBC centre and managed to get into the studio to watch the dorothys sing on the One Show, I saw john after and asked him for a photo! He was lovely

On saturday, we actually managed to get up early and be ready to queue at OTR for 11! There were already about 15 girls in front of us. The first few had been there since 9!
It was pretty boring in the queue… lots of football hooligans were walking past!
First person we saw arrive was Graham with his gorgeous labradoodle and terrier thing!
Next to arrive was Dangerous dave… driven by a chaffeur!!!! He was cute!!

Then the others all came in, ALW walked in casually along the street, then Jodie, Then Sheila.
I was chatting to the girls at the front of a queue when another black car pulled in. I recognised the hair in the back and screamed… “ITS JOHN” Stupid idea. Everyone came running over!He got out the car and chatted to a few girls up the end then he saw me and my friend and said “oh my god you’re here” We were like “Yeah… you remember us from last night?!” and he said “Yeh of course I do, Did you enjoy the performance” we started rambling on about how we loved it and how we had our banner with us. He then asked how we’d managed to get in at the BBC to see the Dorothys and he thought it was cool that the woman had gone to so much trouble to get us in Said it was nice to see us again and again that he would look out for the banner

He then walked in ,We went back to our spot in the queue and a bit later got stamped. At about half 5 we managed to get in through the gates! Excitement was building up again! We got in and I was totally gutted to see the amount of chairs filled with celebrity guests names… all the good seats were taken. None of the public were allowed to sit where we were last time. We were squashed into chairs on the left side of the stage. Hardly any room to move.

The man who tells us when to clap etc asked us if we had any banners! He read our John side one out!! I could see Johnny looking over but couldn’t see the expression on his face! The guy told him that he should get out while he can and everyone laughed!! . The show was amazing. I adore sophie so much. I thought her performance of Over the Rainbow was fantastic. I nearly cried when Lauren went out! In my opinion she should have won and the way she didn’t get any sort of acknowledgement at the end…. Was just told to go to her family, made me really angry.


At the end of the show we didn’t know whether to wait around or not. We went to a back door but noone came out so we went back round the main entrance.

We then recognised someone coming out and realised it was Sophie!!! I called her over and asked for a pic! She is SUCH a lovely girl considering her dream had just been crushed! She gave me a proper hug and then my friend took a pic! We told her we were gutted she had lost and she was really cool about it and thanked us for our support and told us she loved our banner!

Then we spotted Stephanie who I wasn’t really a fan of in the show but again, she is really really nice! She kept coming back and hugging us!!! We said we were upset Sophie didnt win and she said that her and her family wanted her to win as well!!It was so hard to get photos with them as I was in stupidly high heels and they were so tiny!!!

We also met Steph, who told us she had 2 auditions this week! Good luck to her!

We saw danielle and we called her and said well done but she totally blanked us. Later we saw some other guys by the back door as we were leaving and that said she was rude to them too.
We also met Sheila who I didnt think we had any chance of stopping but she did!!

Funny that Danielle was rude to you, considering she left her party for a few minutes to meet some fans waiting outside. I know you like Sophie but maybe she just didn't hear you or see you?

Btw I enjoyed your report up until then, I think the John stuff is funny.

She did look at us when she walked past. I'm not too bothered really, as I met the person I wanted to, but I thought it was harsh on the other group of people who actually were massive danielle fans!

i doubt that danielle 'totally blanked ' you she probably as irish said didnt hear you/see you youve got to remember she was in a state of shock/excitement and not quite in the real world at that point. as i said on other threads she was just absolutely lovely to us and im sure she wouldve been to you too if shed spoken to you.

Sophie and Stephanie are both absolutely gorgeous!

Sounds a bit iffy about Danielle, however I doubt it was intentional because when I walked past her just before the show went live on air a few weeks back I wished her luck and she was like 'aww, thank you!'

Kates... they really are stunning! All the girls are! They're so tiny as well apart from Amy! She was alot taller than me!

Aha, I'm glad you got it as Kates! Most people think it's Kate S or something, but even though my actual name is Katie I get called Kates by my friends

And yes - not surprised at them being tiny. It's always the way; I know Jessie from IDA and she looked fairly tall and averaged sized on TV yet in real life is quite a bit shorter and more petite. I've come to the conclusion that at 5ft9 and a size 12, I'd be absolutely gargantuan on television. I'll stick to radio...ha!

I don't think she was thinking straight at the time... because from what I have seen of Danielle.... esp the story about a stranger hugging her ... and also hand writing replies to fan mail and all that... i just don't think she would ever intentionally blank anyone... even if she did look at you was she in the right state of mind to register it....??? I mean some people talk to me when I am really happy and everything they say doesn't register i just stand there looking at them.... so seeing as this is a massive change in her life... i just think she was a bit too caught up in the moment and as other people have said she was actually lovely when she met them

Yeah they are all pretty and seem really nice I always thought Amy looked tall.
