OMG just heard this on radio one. She was singing live and it was bloody awful. She really cant sing. It was embarrasing to listen and she was out of tune as well!
Im sure chris moyles will have commented but i had to turn it off as my ears could take no more.

i agree!! she just should get a vocal coach! and have a more stronger voice really, i mean she didnt know what she was doing half the time! just so poor!! i mean i try to like her but in all honesty i think she shouldn't stick with it if it's going to be anymore performances like this to be honest!! i want her to train more, i mean the likes of Kylie hasn't the greatest voice in the world but she brings energy to it and makes it fun to hear while Cheryl just is so bland it's annoying!!
at least we had Alecia and Florence after =D who were the definition of AMAZING!

Kylie may not have the greatest voice, but she can hold a tune. Cheryl, unfortunately, can't.

that's what i was saying, Kylie has that vibe and can hold melodies and tunes and Cheryl NEEDS that appeal!! she doesn't unfortunately which is a real shame!

Moyles did comment on it. When they'd finished playing the set he said "that was Cheryl Cole there ...answering the question 'is she miming?' ...". It was awful....Fight For this Love was bad (but no worse than usual) but 3 Words was something else ...it doesn't make much sense as "3 Words" is surely a less challenging song vocally?!

I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for her....but not really. She gets loads of perks working in this business, so screw her

Her awful live singing was exactly as I expected. No better, no worse. The girl just can't sing, and when I say sing, I mean sing WELL. Not "sing" as in, make a noise resembling some sort of tune come out of her mouth. Anybody can do that

I know she's a huge star and all that, but it seems that she either mimes or sings badly at each event that she attends. They really should stop asking her and give the spot to someone who can really sing and needs the promo like VV Brown.

Well one thing's for sure - she is a huge star for anything other than her singing. I don't think her dancing's very good either but at least it detracts attention from her voice and you get an army of dancers to hide her.

She really is shameless getting up on a stage with so little talent.

And seeing as she wrote it I'm sure she won't mind either.

You probably won't be laughing though you'd be struggling to listen to it! It's so awful

Oh. My.

Worse than I imagined

I love how she begins to fiddle with her earpiece pretending THAT'S the problem, not that she can't sing for peanuts.

God, it's all so embarrassing

On another note, Florence sounded amazing! Her entrance pissed me off though. Talk about milking it

Hahaha, they forgot to turn on the Vocoder!!

If there was track problems she wouldnt know where to come in, she came in at the right time, BOY DID SHE EVER, hilariously bad.

It could be possible that there was something wrong with the earpiece. It's happened to many singers before on stage - they can't hear the band so they have to guess the starting note from experience (or perfect pitch which is rare)

She must be pretty unlucky then as this must happen to her every time she performs 'live'.....haha

but that particular perfomance was especially out of tune, so something unique must have happened that time

I live on Anglesey and work in Bangor so I know a fair few people who went to the Big Weekend gig.....and the general consensus of those who saw her was one of embarrassment/cringe worthily bad...in fact she was so bad a work colleague of mine did feel a little sorry for her.......apparently her dancing and overall performance looked very awkward as well....and to rub salt into Cheryl`s dire vocal performance the audience were treated to a belting set by Alicia Key`s an hour later who`s performance and stage craft just highlighted how bad Cheryl Cole really is.

As much as I can't stand the fact that she's classed as a "singer/performer", one can't expect her to just pack it in and admit defeat saying, "Well, you're all right. I can't sing for shit. Should just stick to modeling and being a WAG" But I DO wish the media would stop shoving her down our throats and telling us how she's a national treasure/inspiration/role model etc every day when she's not!

In a perfect world, the media should just give honest and frank reviews of her albums and performances, not just kiss her arse because your paper or magazine or whatever wants to keep good relations with her and everything associated with her.

The media world is a joke. Really pissed off I did for a degree

The media do give honest reviews, there wasn't one positive review of her album. I think DS gave it one of the best reviews at 3/5
