What can evil be.

I have been wondering what this “evil” does mean, & I have to admit that I haven't come up with a decent answer. I thought I’d post my thoughts here & see what comments you guys come up with. It’s a bit of a ramble.

The Series

The regime in the house will be stricter than series 3. Perhaps even harsh.

The hms could be put into multiple teams to compete for food, comforts etc.

The diary room stops being “warm & wooly” and BB become more authoritarian & abrupt with the hms. The hms will not want to go to the diary room.

Basic rations will be very poor.

BB Aims
A relationship

A few arguments

Fun

Passion, not just lust, but any strong emotions. (This was missing rom BB4)

A marriage breakdown.

BBs Problems
The housemates are volunteers, it’s only 70K make it too harsh & people will quit.

As the show progresses the fans get an emotional bond with the hms, love or hate that’s what makes people vote. However this bond takes time to develop & cannot be forced. Kick out a housemates, & loose voters & perhaps viewers, not many I admit but BB is not in the business of loosing any viewers.

BB does not want to generate a “them & us” situation between the producers & the hms, this happened in BB4 & attempts to stir things up was seen as blatent manipulation & failed.[

BB has “borrowed power” it really belongs to the housemate, it can be given or taken back at any time if the housemate leaves the house. If the HMs do rebel as a group & stick together then the producers could have a serious problem, espcially if it happens a few weeks in, as they wouldn’t be enough time to get to know a new group of hms.

Split the hms up into really competitive teams & your will reduce the amount of interaction, possible the chances of a relationship developing.

The Hms

They will all learn from last year & be more lively, individual personalities will be more lively anyway so we can expect to see some major over compensation in the first few days. Noone will want the label “boring” Some will learn from series 3 & avoid bitching. Most will try to be considerate to live with, some will assume they are & not try. If the hms are nominating, then the first two will be girls.

The adverts. EVIL
These are not directed at us. They are aimed at the general population who do not obsess about BB all year. The general population will not read too much into them, they may wonder a bit & tune in one Friday in which case the ads have done their job.

The ads are to generate interest nothing more, remember the first one, the grim reaper chasing the chickens? Well no chickens this year.

Wrapping Up

Having read this, my thoughts are that BB5 will be like previous BBS.

12 people in a house, mostly boring.

Friday well see them go in, & that’s all.

People will be disappointed with this.

BB will be much stricter but not antagonistic.

Housemates who are a pain to live with, will be nominated first but not in the firat round.

Enough typing, what are your thoughts?

cheers

I think it would be evil if they refused to give them any alcohol. They might not get into as many fights, but I think they'd all get so bored they'd all start to slowly go insane.

I'm sure they will have lots of alcohol, at least for the first couple of weeks, I bet it's not even part of the tasks, they'll just have it as part of their basics.

Food could be a different matter, let them starve!!

it probebly means they wont get cut any slack if they fail the task they fail end of storie no food and they wont get a couple of bottles of wine for failing as a consolation prize
bailey1987

the tasks will also be a lot harder

they should make them do the bed building challenge to get them all to bond lol i liked that they all got to know each other in the fist few hours so they wernt still getting to know each other 3 weeks later like they always do lol

I think at some point the prize will be upped and revealed to the housemates.
Just imagine: "This is big brother, the prize is not £70,000- it is in fact £1 million". Or something like that.
The whole dynamic of the show would change.
Plus whips.
Lots of whips.

I do feel the prize will increase to at least £100,000 this year, and perhaps they can add to it in weekly tasks. (Although, as the theme is evil, I imagine they would start high and housemates compete to avoid losing it).

I'm still predicting the Brazilian format will be used as I stated earlier in the forum. The Saturday challenge will determine the Head of House. On Sunday they'll compete for food, Monday will see the nominations (first HoH nominates one person to face eviction, then other housemates vote for second nominee), Wednesday will see a Luxury Challenge with the eviction on Friday.

Evil essentially means tougher. Housemates will have to be ruthless to each other to stay in the house and to win!

Hasn't Philip Edgar Jones said he doesn't want to copy anything that has been previously done abroad? That would rule out having any HOH.

I think evil could perhaps be something to do with the way nominations are done this year.

In front of the rest of the house perhaps? That could mean more arguments, though it could also mean people are less likely to stab each other in the back - to their faces...

I think that face to face nominations is a none starter, if a hm got a lot of noms one week, every one would know & they'd get a load more the following week.

The could do face to face in the final week, but anything else is going to affect the next round of nominations.

That's true, but I still have a feeling that the nomination/eviction process may be more harsh this year... not sure how though! Like last year they tried to get them to give more reasoning for their nominations, although Nush always managed to avoid that..

Maybe the evil thing is that there is no prize money this year!!! After all they wont have made that much money off BB4

Rich/Poor divide had already been done abroad previous to BB3, and PEJ copied that. I would take everything the producers say with more than a pinch of salt. Oh yeah, and last year was supposed to be no-gimmicks-back-to-basics...

it will probebly be that

1. Face to face nominations
2. No sleeping between certain times
3. Very very hard tasks
4. There will be a sin bin
5. Very little food
6. Strictor rules
7. No warnings
8. Head of house
9. Actual reasons for nominating people no "they blinked today"

Thats all i can think of at the mo
