Finally got around to watching OTR today, and noticed that while Lauren and Danielle thanked the backstage crew and ALW and the panel, and Danielle thanked the audience, and people are constantly thanking the GBP, nobody ever says thank you to Graham Norton!

Then again, most of us never get thanked for doing our jobs.

He should be thanking the licence payer for his pay packet.

The fact that people forget about him shows what an excellent job he does. A host is there to HOST professionally and not throw their egos around, distract the audience from the show, make an idiot of themselves (Ryan Seacrest loves to do this at least 3 times during every Idol show!), mess up etc. Graham is on form every time and always seems genuinely interested in these shows, which helps a lot.

Top job!

I noticed that. I thought he did an excellent job and am really looking forward to his commentary on the Eurovision this coming Saturday - also loved his recent stint on Radio 2 breakfast show - in fact, bit of a Graham Norton fangirl, truth be told

I liked him on Radio 2 too

I think he did do a good job, he seemed to really care about the girls too and was sad when they left

He did an excellent job . I think he would make an excellent replacement for Bruce on Strictly when he retires.

I think he did an excellent job. I admire anyone who can deal with a live show as well as he does. As you say - he hosts it seamlessly and lets the others shine.

Normally I just think he's OK, but on these shows, I think he's great.

ooh - I was just going to say that, then thought it might be a bit controversial, so didn't in the end.

At the very least, there are some hosts of live shows that could learn a few things from Mr Norton

I think Graham knows we appreciate him with the amount of work he gets on the BBC.

He's basically running that place. Not that I'm complaining because I think he's brilliant!

Danielle didn't thank wardrobe either - mentioned hair and make-up. I wonder why?!!!! Mind you, she was spared some of the worst outfits. I think Jessica got most of those!

I agree. He's fantastic in everything he does but on 'OTR' as with all the other ALW casting shows he's hosted he just seems to have the right amount of humour without being flippant, he seems to know how to react to The Lord when he makes his random comments and yet he has the right amount of empathy for the contestants.

I am sure the BBC thank him with lots of wonga

exactly. I swear his own show got a miilion times funnier this series too. Guests in hysterics, and thus me also.

I have only just noticed how similar his theme tune is to the Sex and the City theme (at parts).
