The solo powerhouse performance of the series for me was "The Man that got Away"
It almost got lost in the glare of Danielle's Mambo Italiano because it was dark, depressive and moody.Very difficult to do well.Sheila Hancock said it moved her deeply and Charlotte Church felt it was the best song she had ever heard.Praise indeed. And yes,it was better than Jessie's version.More focused, more intense. As Sheila said, deeply moving. |

Short and sweet -
Lauren singing I Could Have Danced All Night and Over The Rainbow showing her voice was in a league of its own compared to the other Dorothys. Unless someone jogs my memory, I doubt if I will remember any of the other performances in a few years time. That's what happened for me with Maria, Joseph and Nancy. |

It's hard to say, because "most memorable" means that it should be the ones that jump into my head without me considering it, but then of course I will end up considering it as I type so... Ok, off the top of my head:
Popular! Lauren: I could have danced all night, Nobody knows, I'll never fall in love again Steph: It's oh so quiet, Somewhere (though I'll probably muddle Somewhere and Out here on my own, if I'm honest) Danielle: Mambo Italiano, Just a little girl Emilie: Girls just wanna have fun (not a favourite, but definitely memorable) The Happening Oklohoma!/ The Deadwood Stage (I suspect I'll muddle the two after a while) Sophie: Reflection/ Tomorrow (again, I think I'll confuse the two) Jessica: Rehab (because I didn't know what to make of it at the time), Supercalithingywotsit Steph/ Lauren sing off (Another suitcase) Legally blonde, Rain on my parade, Somebody to Love, All that jazz from week 1 Lady Gaga mash up (largely for the costumes). |

All four of the winners of these contests have been my favourates from the beginning ![]()
