I can remember Shout by Connie, Paint it Black and most of Lee's performances (but then I am a huge fan ) and Out Here On My Own, I have nothing and Send in the Clowns by Jodie. I think i'll remember Danielle's Mambo in a few years too. All four of the winners of these contests have been my favourates from the beginning
That's exactly what I mean!

Tonight I've had a great trip down memory lane on YT and the one thing that really strikes me about OTR is how few 'goosebumps and tears in the eyes moments' I had. Watching the Marias, the Josephs and the Nancys I had loads and loads.

And yes, I voted for Connie, Lee and Jodie!

I suspect OTR as a series will be a very faint memory for me.

I didn't have a favourite (bad sign ), but I liked Jessica, Lauren, Jenny and Steph best.

I think the weird thing about this series is that all the contestants seemed to be so evenly matched. That's what's made it difficult to say which performances stood out for me- most were good, few were great. I remember being amazed at Bronte going so early, but the only girl I'd have been willing to lose that week was Emilie (and that only because she didn't yet seem to have the vocal control that all the others had.). Equally I think a case could be made for virtually any combination of girls in the top three. I do think that Amy would have been mis-cast as Dorothy, but if I skip over Amy and Emilie then the first three that left were Bronte, Dani and Stephanie. Sound like a possible top three to anyone else? How about Jenny, Jessica and Steph? Compare to the Nancy series a second, and a top three of Amy, Tara and Cleo sounds unlikely to say the least, though I wouldn't have said that any of the three would be wildly miscast as Nancy. Marias: Laura, Belinda, Meliz (not certain of that one)? All the girls this series were so close in age and experience level this time that I think it lead to less variation and therefore fewer stand out performances. I suspect as well that the fact they were that much younger meant that they had less to draw on than competitors from previous series and also felt less intensely about the series. Connie, Lee and Jodie all had real reasons to desperately want that part, this lot didn't in the same way- the majority of them now seem to be off to drama school as planned.

Short and sweet -

Lauren singing

I Could Have Danced All Night

and

Over The Rainbow

showing her voice was in a league of its own compared to the other Dorothys.

Unless someone jogs my memory, I doubt if I will remember any of the other performances in a few years time. That's what happened for me with Maria, Joseph and Nancy.
I think those above, along with the rendition of 'Popular' from Wicked, Oklahoma and Jess on that Moon, looking like she owned the place, and singing her heart out. Brilliant.

I would add Sophie and Jess singing 'Im Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair'!
