It's a good show. Love the Amy MacDonald performance, only problem i have is that unlike Jools Holland i have noticed sometimes only the singing is live and the band is pre-recorded on this show....not sure why that is....

tbh i do like Jools Hollland show, it's just very rare someone i like is on. About time Amy MacDonald was on Jools Holland!

There used to be a great live music show on British TV, but it was only on for 5 years in the 80's. The programe was called The Tube, and incidentally was presented by Jools Holland, along with Paula Yates. All the biggest artists in the world appeared on this show. The best bits were recently shown on Sky Arts, but I would prefer if they showed each episode in full, as not everyone likes the same type of music, of which The Tube had a wide variety.

my mum and dad were obsessed with that show, it had sooo many BIG names on it and saw the UK's first live performance of Madonna (well here andTOTP obv.) i wonderif they'reon You Tube?!?!?

There was a time when we had top of the pops, top of the pops 2 (it should have been called "gold" instead of "2" though) ITV chat show etc
