Why does Christina Aguilera get so much hate?
I really don't get the fact so many bloggers and reporters seem hell bent on ruining her career with lies and false info?
What is going on? ![]()

Perez Hilton. I'm not sure how he manages to have so much influence but he does. Now its just trickled through media source outlets off the back of him.
She has always had comparisons but its never been this intense. Apparently the reason for the Perez hate is because he wasn't invited to Christina's album listening party off the back of ''outing'' Sia as gay on his website which Christina objected to him doing. Perez and Christina got on OK until that point. She even sang him happy birthday. So it all started from that one incident. But Christina is better off without him anyway. His fall from grace is going to be one hell of a nasty ride and lets face it, it is coming. You can't be that vile about so many and expect no fall out. I wouldn't want to be associated with him when that happens. |

Her talent and all round ability is off the scale.
Which basically makes her a threat to almost every applicable female popstar. Whether it's the relatively talentless "dancers" like Britney or the powerhouse vocalists like Mariah, or the image conscious likes of GaGa, or all-rounders like Beyonce, X-Tina pretty much ticks every box (which is why fans of so many artists take against her). That should theoretically be a good thing, but being the most obviously talented and complete artist in your field will attract "haterz" like honey. If she was genuinely a mediocrity or an irrelevance, she might still be disliked, but not to the extent she is. Simply because so many other fanbases of various artists would be disinterested in her. I wouldn't give Perez Hilton that much credit or influence. He's only feeding an underlying dislike that fanbases of various female artists have for X-Tina, that has always been around. She always gets a lot of hate when she drops a new album. I'm sort of used to it. |

She's beautiful and she's talented. She's also versatile and she doesn't really stick to any one sound or image.
She can compete with the Leona's and the Britney's. She also doesn't seem to care what the media says about her which turns her into something of a punching bag. The fact that its thousands of people that dislike her can't mean that its just a case of disliking her, finding her irrelevant and so on. They are also really vocal about it. If she was so irrelevant these articles wouldn't keep being written, they wouldn't be the most read and hundreds of comments wouldn't keep being left. J.Lo is irrelevant and nobody cares. |

I think she has a habit of coming off as quite fake - she hasnt quite mastered the visuals and reinvention techniques quite like Madonna has. Shes got such a wonderful voice and shes finally learning how to keep it under control which is a good thing. Time will tell if she can learn a few new live tricks instead of just screaming through the mic and going 'Woooooo-ooooahhhh-yeah-YEAH' during every song.

Although, to be fair, I do think she takes herself a bit too seriously.

Here she is singing happy birthday to perez hilton
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCCv0...eature=related I don't think she get's an excessive amount of hate, compared to say Madonna or Mariah, who get the most stuff made up about them all the time. She isn't constantly in the press, only when she's releasing an album, otherwise she keeps herself to herself. Regarding what's happened now, I don't think it's any vendetta against her. I genuinely think people are just a bit ignorant and think if another female artist dresses boldly, then they must be copying Lady Gaga. |

She's talented and has plenty of fans, so deep inside she knows she has nothing to worry about. I've always believed that every single thing that's great in this world will always have a hater.

Im not really a fan, but even I can tell that she appears to have some genuine talent and ideas of her own, as well as a relatively happy home life, so jealousy is almost assured from certain commenters. |

I'm not really a big Christina fan, but the "hate" recently has been outrageous.
She always tries different things & she announced her current style back when her Greatest Hits was release (before Lady Gaga was huge) and even re-done some of her old material in that style. So I don't understand the "copying" Lady Gaga comments by so many blogs etc either. Especially when Lady Gaga has borrowed from just about every pop artist under the sun. |

It's a strange one, she is clearly more talented than most, and despite being a fan of hers, I'd often "side" with another artist when there appears to be any rivalry or conflict.
She always seems to be behind which is a bit of a problem for me, She came out after Britney, the current look (which she may have been planning for a decade, is irrelevant because she's launched it now) straight after a year of intense Gaga looking very similar. She often frustrates me, she has one of the best voices in the business, and the two songs I've heard in full NMST and The one with Nicki Minaj are complete wastes of her talent. I still listen to her first 2 albums and about a third of Back to Basics because she has some genuinely great songs but there just seems to be something missing. I find it hard to really follow and support an act who doesn't really appear to be fully into her music, there's nothing wrong with that, she's got her priorities spot on with focussing on her family, it just makes it more difficult to relate to her because we don't see much of her. These are just my own reasons why I'm not a major loyal fan of hers like I am other acts who are around, it's more like hard work trying to follow her what with the style changes and all, and I just can't force myself to like a style of music just because it's Christina singing it. More consistency might win people round, it would certainly work for me |

Why ? the answer is really simple. She is one of the most "catty" female artists in the industry and constantly walks around with an air of arrogance. She always seems to be feuding or making catty remarks towards her peers:
Christina vs P!nk Christina vs Mary J Blige Christina vs Mariah Christina vs Lady GaGa Does anyone else see a pattern here ? She is not quite the visionary and innovator that she always claims to be in her interviews. She always seems to be a step behind chasing trends rather than setting them. Like I said not quite the visionary and innovator she always claims to be. She needs to stop praising herself and calling her work 'iconic' etc because it really isn't and her latest creation is a great example. Unfortunately this is what happens when a good (great ? ) singer thinks they are some super creative 'artiste'. We have seen a few good/great pop singers fail this year for exactly the same reason. |

The Mary J Blige stuff. Christina refused to kiss her hand. Good on her. Mary isn't god. As for the Mariah stuff. There isn't many celebs who do like her. Mariah was a bitch to her and Christina spoke of it. Hardly being arrogrant. On the other end of the scale though you have Whitney, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Beyonce, Madonna, Lil Kim, Missy Elliot and even Britney as Christina supporters. |

Erm Pink and Christina were friends for a long time but Pink dropped Christina when Linda Perry decided she wanted to write for Christina. Linda confirmed this herself, Pink got jealous, hence why Linda hasn't wrote for Pink since.

As for the feud with Mary J Blige, It was actually Christina who extended her hand to Mary as if she expected Mary to kiss it: http://popdirt.com/mary-j-blige-chri...is-rude/43691/ Why do you think Christina gets so much backlash and so much hate ? If it's not the constant catty remarks than what is it ? Do you seriously believe all that "she's a threat" nonsense ? there are far more talented artists in the industry that don't get half the backlash she does. When you say things like "is it a man or a woman" about one of the hottest artists around atm that's what happens. She has brought all this hate on to her with her constant catty remarks. |
