The Post-Rock thread
Does anyone else listen to post-rock music? Bands like Godspeed You Black Emperor, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, God Is An Astronaut?
My tastes in music seem to get more extreme as I get older, and I find myself listening to this kind of music a lot now. |

i hate the term "post-rock" its such a silly name for a genre... however I do love Godspeed You Black Emperor
"lift your skinny fists..." is one of the best records of the last decade, i suppose you can say that some bjork stuff is post-rock, love her... i also like some of sigur ros' stuff aswell |

Others I'd recommend would include: Mono - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89zzHCfZ_zs Do Say Make Think - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyx76...eature=related Silver Mt Zion (who are what's left of Godspeed You Black Emperor) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_W7ydnPtB4 65 Days of Static - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLuXmpbSk_Q Kyte (who kinda cheat by actually singing) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BsAUZ7a81w Quote:
