It's not The Lodger, it's "Don't go up the stairs"

Fortunately the title is only on the screen for three seconds or so, and then you can stop worrying about it, and enjoy...

Given the guest star, I'm not sure it's fair that the acronym by which this episode will be known for years to come is DGUTS.

The Lodger sounded a bit generic and ambigious IMO, I wonder if the problem will be solved by installing a Stannah Stairlift, won't have to touch the stairs then.

This has also given me hope for episode 13 to be renamed. >_>

Can't say I've been looking forward to this one due to James Cordan. But I'll judge his character without prejudice.

Can't see myself watching Doctor Who Confidential with Cordan out of character in it though.

But the Press Office still says Doctor Who – The Lodger

I didn't see it earlier. Could they have changed it back in the last few hours?

Completely agree I am going to give the character a fair crack of the whip. Who knows this may actually make him watchable.

Then again we would have a better chance of seeing the daily fail write a postive news story regarding well anything.

I always think of the David Bowie album the Lodger. Maybe, they don't think kids will understand it.

I always think of the Hitchcock film The Lodger.

It was indeed changed - strange that. maybe it's part of the "don't beleive what you see" arc

I find it hard to understand how an episode title could be a big disappointment to anyone!

Preferred the "Lodger" as well, although "Don't Go Up the
Stairs" has a nice Ray Bradbury-ish feel to it.

I think it was probably an error somewhere rather than them actually changing their minds and back again in the space of a couple of hours, to be fair.

Bit of an over reaction? Has it effected your life in some terrible way?

Perhaps there's been a mistake made and DGUTS is the title for that weeks Confidential?

Doctor who adventures magazine says the episode is entitle 'The Lodger'. I don't know wether that helps!

This sounds the most likely explanation.

Well, either that or the OP logged on to an alternative reality BBC

Seriously, though, do people take so much notice of episode titles? I forget them as soon as I've seen them, and it takes me ages to work out the acronyms.

Though I'm not alone in this, it seems according to another thread.

There isn't really any confusion over the episode title now, it's only that it briefly seemed to change on the BBC site yesterday....

Don't go up the Stairs was a working title for the episode at one point, it could well be that they haven't finalised between that or The Lodger yet.

IIRC Forest of the Dead was known as Rivers Run up till a week or so before it aired.
