well .... i must say, these are great songwriters but imho their material was better when covered by british artists! in particular 'beggin' (timebox) and c'mon marianne (grapefruit).

Agreed. Actually prefer the Bay City Rollers version of Bye Bye Bye. Also agree with Tony Blackburn when he once said Detroit Spinners did a far better version of Working My Way Back To You and took it to No.1 in 1980.
