Dino, Desi and Billy - I'm A Fool (1965)
The fact that Dino was the son of the crooner, Dean Martin, and Desi the son of the comedienne, Lucille Ball, is likely to have been a major factor in securing a recording contract for this trio. However, once they started recording they weren't bad at all and I do rather like this track.
Paul Revere and the Raiders - Hungry (1966)
Yet another in the long line of good American sixties acts who were completely ignored in the UK. My particular favourite by this band, a song entitled Kicks, was one of the first tracks I submitted to the thread, so I'm surprised it's taken me two and half years before submitting Hungry, which I like almost as much.”
Another track that I like by the aforementioned Dino, Desi and Billy.
Dino, Desi and Billy - Thru Spray Colored Glasses (1969)
Not that you particularly want to know this, but since making the above post (last Friday) I've discovered that as well as Dino having a famous father (Dean Martin) and Desi having a famous mother (Lucille Ball), the third member of the trio, Billy, had a famous brother-in-law (Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys). Oh, the joys of trivia.

Yes.
Desi Arnez Junior (son of Desi Arnez Senior and Lucille Ball) and Desi from Dino, Desi and Billy are one and the same.
"Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve was one of the most successful and most memorable singles of the nineties, thanks in no small part to the fact that it heavily "borrows" from this tremendous orchestral version of a Rolling Stones song:-

WOW!
Great track I can see why they "borrowed" from it!”
The Verve were initially given consent to "borrow" by the copyright owners of "The Last Time", but were later told told that they had "borrowed" too much and were taken to court for plagiarism. The wikipedia entry for "Bittersweet Symphony" makes an interesting read:-

It's pretty early (1966) and it sounds like he was under orders to play like Clapton - but the solo is superb, as indeed is the record.”

According to my book this reached number 44 and I assume it was banned off the radio! ”
