i took my beagle to vets on monday night,as he suffers from colitus, he wasnt eating although hes doing ok now as regards food,i still cant get him to drink by himself,im worried about this,the vet said maybe bring in a urine sample to test .what will that show and any suggestions AS to how to get fluids down him thanks

Ice cubes are good in these situations. Does he have dry food or wet? If dry, he could have the kibble soaked in some cool boiled water, if wet, it will have some moisture in it, but you could still add a little bit of water. Personally I would want to know why he isn't drinking though. It is unsual for a dog to eating normally but not drinking.

hes on royal canin for is intestines,he will take tiny amount of water now with milk like a teaspoon or evap not ideal i know.vet wants to know if theres anything noticeable in his urine.es stil recovering and he is starting to play for short periods,just worried thats all as hes very wel ooked after
