At school in the early 90s, before assembly started, the teachers would play some calming music. One tune has stuck in my brain for years and it's driving me crazy.

I've browsed through nearly every album with Ballade pour Adeline in it on iTunes, with no luck. I've been in touch with one of the teachers... who couldn't remember the song. I've even gone back to the school to ask the lady at reception and was laughed at and told that the old tape deck had long gone and that she would be in touch if she found out anything... nothing yet. I've tried tune/hum/whistle recognition programs, ith no success.

Here's all I've got to go on.

- It was on a cassette.
- It followed Ballade pour Adeline (the Richard Clayderman version I believe)
- It was an upbeat instrumental
- The cassette contained only classical music
- I believe Greensleeves was one of the songs.
- The music began sharply. There was no opening tune
- The lead instrument (I believe, I'm not 100%) was electric piano. I think a bass and strings could also be heard.

If played on a piano, the tune began like this...

CDC EEE DCB E(G#)AB(G#) AAA

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Best wishes,

I've just fed those notes into Ableton but it doesn't ring any bells, sorry.
