Hello!
I know I'm a bit late at posting, but this has been bugging me all series. How do the girls decide which part they are singing in the sing-off?

They always knew which bit they were going to sing but I guess they would have had to rehearse both and what if they got the harmony confused?

It would solve a big argument in the house if someone knows the answer!!

That's a very good point... you never think about these things when you're watching the show.

So the person who sang first would know they're definitely singing the first part and vice versa for the person who sang last?

It always amazed me how well they knew the songs, the words and the harmonies during the sing-off. Not one of them managed to make a fluff-up. Even Emilie's harmonies (bless her !) in 'I know Him So Well', were perfect.

I sometimes wonder if they have an autocue on the camera just for extra help if they need it. Does anyone know if this is the case ?

Then they would still have to know both parts of the song - am I right? () If so, surely that would be confusing for them surely - I know it would for me ! However, if that is the case then I really take my hat off to them. Feeling emotional after being told 'you are the most unpopular Dorothy' and remembering lines and harmonies must be difficult.

Seems like it, but surely that's not fair on the others?

Especially if there are difficult harmonies involved as the ones in the middle would have to learn and be able to hold two different singing lines and not get them confused.

I'm even more curious now LOL!!

In IDA it was whoever got the lowest amount of votes sang second. I dunno if that's still the case though

Right up until the final week all "Sing Off's" were recorded and then shown on the Sunday night. Even though Lauren came 3rd she never did a "Sing Off" as that show was live.

In the event of a recorded show they can get directions from the floor manager and show producer as to when to come in. So when we watch it on a Sunday night it looks seamless, however they probably took time to get it bang on and then just edited out the cr@p.

Simple really

Jenny and Lauren's was live.

No-one who was in the audience has said the sing offs have been any difference in what was recorded and what was shown.
