its come to my attention that euphony went into administration in december 2009 the administrators have been selling off the company ever since. euphony changes name and becomes a new company called hive in june, does that mean i'm out of my 12 month contract?

Are you still receiving the service you paid for? If yes, no, your contract stands. If not, Euphony is in breach of it and thus you're free to switch to a competitor.
